I think I would go with the dual panes if I had it to do over again. I wont get the chance. We had some spots where the sun was on us most of the day. The heat on the single panes was immense at times. I have o think they would keep the camper a little cooler if they help hold the cold in the cold months! Is this thinking wrong?
Here's an easy fix for that: buy a roll of Reflectix. It's like bubble wrap with foil on each side, so it's kind of stiff. Cut it to fit your windows (especially ones that are not covered by the awning). It does an awesome job of holding heat in, in the winter; or reflecting the sun's heat in the summer. Doesn't need to be fastened - the day/night shades hold it in place. Last month, we survived nights with temps around 4 degrees, using Reflectix, vent pillows; and an electric heater (with the RV furnace as backup)

At least we don't need to try to convince you to get a Dually!
Get the dual panes! You will love them and it will help with re sale.

I'm sure the two reps mentioned only had single pane models on their lot. RV salesmen like car salesmen make more money on what they have in stock. Nothing against any salesman, but it is just the way their system works.
Dual pane windows are worth ever dime and I would not buy an RV without them.

The wife would not let me go to the Birmingham RV show alone as she was afraid I would come home wanting a new fifth wheel. Well she went with me today and saw the toy haulers, Heartland Cyclone and Road Warriors, and now she wants one. She loves the room in the garage and the two queen beds for the kids. Also loves the door turns into a deck. Only a few concerns for me, one, this thing is heavy, up to 18000 lbs wet. Two, Heartland rep said double pane windows, $1800 option, are not worth the money, I like them. Three, tripe axles, how well do these things back up at 90ยฐ, as I must do exiting my driveway? Any insights on these would be great. Thanks, Randy

Does the "18000 lbs wet" include the toys, too? I can't imagine it is only the trailer.
