A good friend of mine ran into exactly the same issue. Water was backed up into the kitchen sink, it was a used rig that he had just purchased at a dealership the previous summer (late). He thought the line was plugged. We found the handle for the second tank between the wheels. He was very very lucky as he had stored his rig with a full tank in extended sub zero weather and the tank didn't split apart. He has now painted that handle orange to make it more visible.

Thank you all for your support. Yes it was a second tank. The dealer did not know or tell me about it, Again thank you for your input it was a great help to know that I was not the only one that had this problem.

He didn't specifically say that there was standing water in the sink (including water in the p-trap), but, he wouldn't be asking about a plugged sink line if there wasn't standing water at one time? If the line drained, he wouldn't be complaining it was plugged... It could, in fact be draining, but, draining slowly, which could, aside from a clog down the line somewhere, indicate a tank almost at its maximum capacity. At any rate, the p-trap should be full...that's how they work; they stay full of water to prevent the back-flow of sewer gasses (methane, besides stinking is poisonous). If your p-trap isn't full, you've got a siphoning/venting issue and that is a problem in itself.
My 2 cents, your mileage may vary...

I'm a little confused.(Nothing new!) It seems strange to me that a buyer
of a new RV would not have been told about a galley holding tank.
Does the dealer not go over things (PDI) with the buyer when selling a unit?

When we bought our fiver,I had a 10 page list of items to cover, the dealer added another 5 pages.

My money is still on a second gray tank. That issue has caught many a new owner. We lucked out on our Montana as we were in CW for something else and saw this extra pull handle near the front axle and asked a Salesman who actually knew it was the second gray tank valve. If not for that we would have been on here asking for help.

A malfunctioning vent check valve maybe? Follow your sink's drain line past the P trap. The check valve, if you have one, looks like a cap. Twist it loose a bit and see if the water drainage rate speeds up.

Highly likely there is a 2nd grey water tank with a valve not located in the compartment with the other valves. My 5'ers grey tank manufacture specs combines the two grey tanks into one listing. Does not show them individually. Mine has the shower grey and black tank valves located together in a compartment near the front of the trailer. The kitchen sink grey tank valve is located further back towards the rear of trailer.

This would be my guess also...if the black spec is 35 gallons and the gray is 70 gallons, the odds are that there are two gray tanks at 35 gallons each (that's the way my 318SAB is; listed as 76 gallon gray, but, is actually two 38 gallon tanks)and that there is an "extra" handle back by the wheel well. On my 318SAB, there are two handles forward for the bathroom gray and the black tank, while the galley gray tank's drain handle is under the trailer, just forward of the wheels.

Take a look under the trailer towards the rear, depending on where your kitchen is; mid-trailer mounted, look for handle around the wheels, if the kitchen is rear mounted, look around the rear of the trailer. It will be "under" the trailer in either case and can be easily missed unless you know it is there.

From external pix...there are only two handles in wet bay compartment....one for black and one for grey. Website only lists black (35 gallon) & grey (70 gallon) no galley tank.

Kitchen sink 'P' trap clear then run a snake down the rest of line into tank and check for obstruction otherwise back to dealer if you have that time to have it sit for weeks.

When you drain the grey tank.....does it flow freely?
When it is drained and with drain valve still open..does kitchen sink draining change or still not drain?
Is it time for your medication or mine?

The fact that you said you checked the p trap tells me that you have a obstruction in the line somewhere. Won't drain rapidly but does slowly drain out or you would have had a mess when you pulled the p trap. Back to a dealer and good luck.

The shower and bathroom sink are most likely on a different gray waste tank. My rig has a separate holding tank for the dish water. And the release handle is located in a different spot than the bathroom gray water and black water handles. My guess is that you have a full holding tank for your dishwater waste. Two weeks would be just about right to get it completely full.
