Leveling boards, what do you carry.

We'll be taking off shortly in a new to us 5'ver for an extended time. I figure two 2x8x6 foot should do the trick for leveling.

My old RV was a MH with levelers, so I never thought about it much before.

Anderson looks cool. I would order them today but wonder about the space needed between the wheels. I got a smidge over one inch between the 16 inch wheels.

What do you Anderson folks think?

Me too.. If we get positive responses from a few folks I am in, looks too simple to me!

Has anyone tried these levelers out on wet grass? Do they slip away as you try to climb up on them? How long are they from end to end?

Hope someone answers the question about space needed between tires soon.

I discovered Anderson levelers right there on RV.net.
No need to carry lumber and no trial and error. Just pull up until the level on the front of the rig shows it's good.
I no longer carry any boards for leveling, just some small pieces of 2X6 to put under the stab jacks.

Absolutely, I bought two thinking they would be better than boards or Lynx but after a couple of trips I think I would quit RVing if I had to give them up. They take all the hassle out of leveling. They are fairly expensive (around $45.00 each) but are worth 3 times as much, and I am one of the stingiest people you would ever meet.

Got some of these also....40 bucks apiece but so easy to use.

The anderson levelers are nice but how do they work when the ground is soft and or in gravel

And what about the tire spacing needed to get one between the tires?

You do realize you could be 1/16" to 3/16" off level and not know it :B

If I have to I scratch she surface to maintain perfection!

Actually by adding 1/4" to one wheel it only changes the height by 1/8". ๐Ÿ˜‰

Another user of lynx levelers here. I have 2 bags of them. Just bought the second bag this spring. This season every sight I have had has been perfectly level. I do know I will need both bags on our next trip though cause that is the site that made me buy the second bag.
