If I pull 2 pins the head pops right off. Any way to lock it. I would hate for it to walk off.

A lock on the operating handle is a good idea, just to deter a not so funny prankster.

Careful you too will be ridiculed for such a statement!

Been locking my B&W head since my first one in 2005.

Of course been criticized for doing so many times by the B&W haters.;)

Difference in opinion....not hater.
That's your hangup
I think they are a great hitch and very innovative.

Reality check is those puny little locks do NOTHING except give false sense of security.
I don't even need bolt cutter or battery powered cutoff.
A ball peen hammer will do.

Well I guess I was not talking about you.

I am not an iddiot, I know exactly how easily the locks could be removed. As they say it keeps the honest people honest!

And no "hangup" here. I give my opinion on a product and it gets "SOME" people all in a tizzy. If that does not apply to you just carry on.

I don't lock it or worry about it. Keep a tonneau cover on the truck bed. I know that will do absolutely nothing to protect it if they want it, but it keeps it out of sight. I figure most scumbags are also lazy...

I don't lock mine either. If someone wants it that bad theyll find a way to get it. As others have said I doubt there's a black market for them.

I lock mine down also. Sure the padlocks can be defeated quite easily, but it just might prevent someone from taking that little extra time to take it.

I agree. Also agree it's a great hitch.

I wouldn't try to lock it down either. As was said earlier the lack of market will keep it safe enough. When I worked the sour gas fields in east Texas I used to have a Scott Air Pack in the back of the truck. Couldn't lock it up because that might have killed me if I needed it. That $1000 or so air pack road in its case in the back of one truck or another for over 10 years and was never touched. A loose chain or boomer wouldn't last more than a day or three....

I really think the market in stolen B&W hitch heads is pretty minimal. I don't do anything special.

Small bolt cutters make quick work of mini locks........just saying

Thought the whole idea/concept behind having a B&W was ease of removal.

So remove it when not towing to be completely safe.

Now a days it is very difficult to make things theft proof.

Thieves have portable tools/high power battery paks that make their job of stealing easier than ever before.

I know....not a helpful post.
Just a reality check. Anything you do that stops a theft just makes it a PITA for you and defeats the reason for having it.
