went to the local RV show today. was rather disappointed there weren't many of these. we have a child and love the idea of her having her own bedroom/play area so she can sleep a little less disturbed.

jayco had a couple units there, but most other brands didn't. i've got plenty of truck to pull it, but the Mrs. is convinced if we get a big trailer it won't fit anywhere she wants to go so i'm hovering around the 30' mark. probably will end up a couple feet longer but that will be it.

prefer used as this will be our first trailer and i'm sure we'll learn a lot and want to change to something else as our family grows. any suggestions?

i do prefer a good amount of fresh water (80-90 gal) and good sized grey/black tanks. don't need genset as i have a couple.

thank you

You might look at the Rockwood Signature Ultralite 8281WS. We have the 2010 version without the wardrobe slide. We have twin daughters and a son. Has been pretty good for us so far. Had to replace a slide motor last year, but other than that, no problems. Have gone up and down the east coast several times in addition to weekend trips.
It is in the 30-32' range.

We had a Rockwood Signature Ultra Lite 8217SS before we sold it and got our Wildcat. It was a good trailer, but we love the Wildcat's front bunk with lots of room to move around. The Rockwood had the rear bunks with only about 18" between the bunks and it was tight to move around. Definitely no place to play or lay around other than on the beds.

Check out the Forest River Rockwood. Their bunkhouses are around 32' in the 5th wheels. Don't own one, so can't tell you about quality.

The Palamino Sabre units are very popular middle of the road in quality units. And their bunkhouse is a big seller.

We went for a Grand Design Reflection 323BHS, but it's 37'. It's really a nice unit with the SuperSofa option. We also love the outside kitchen.

We found that bunkhouse units often get very large (40'+ and 14K lbs.) which so many having second bathroom attached. 30' bunkhouses may be a little hard to find in fifth wheel configuration.

We have a 2009 Wildcat 32QBBS and we LOVE it. We have 2 daughters, 10 and 7 and spent 107 nights in it last year and 103 in it this year. It is awesome.
