Looking for quality 5th wheel

Just sold my 40" Motorhome and am considering a small light wt. (24-26') 5th wheel trailer. I want to be able to use an everyday 2015 F150 to haul it. Don't want a larger pickup. Any suggestions for a used trailer to fit this criteria.

I think you're asking the wrong questions.

1. You're talking about used trailers. The quality of a used trailer has little to nothing to do with who built it. It's all about how it has been maintained. Your questions should be about what to look for in a used trailer.

2. Any tow vehicle (1/2 ton, 3/4 ton, 1 ton, etc), doesn't matter who built it, will have varying amounts of payload and tow capacity. F150 for example, can have payload/towing numbers anywhere between 750/5,000 lb and 3,200/12,000. Where an "everyday F150" fits in that range, is really hard to say.

If you already have the F150, you need to know what it is rated to carry and what it is rated to tow. Then look for a trailer that fits (weight wise) with the truck's ratings.

Things to keep in mind:

Any weight added to the tow vehicle (aftermarket accessories, people, pets, cargo, hitch equipment, and pin weight) takes away available payload, pound for pound.

Pin weight will be approximately 20 - 22 percent of gross trailer weight.

No they don't. The shortest Wildcat Maxx is 28.4" and is a dealer stock only unit. Meaning good luck finding one as it's been discontinued.
After that the shortest is 30'3" but the pin weight is 1455 lbs which after loading up will be too much for his 1/2 ton F150.
Grand Design has one thats 26'7" but again it may be too much for some 1/2 tons.

Since your in the west, look at the wildcat maxx units from forest river, they are a Pacific northwest product that seems better liked by buyers than most other FR products, and they have a little 23' unit with multiple slides that has a low enough pin weight for most half ton trucks.
