need ideas for strange problem

Hope I posted this in right place but did not see forum for my problem.
To get right to it I have a rattlesnake in my fifth wheel. I was moving stuff around in the lower storage and heard it. It scared the **** out of me.
Any ideas how to get it to leave. Short of getting in there with a shotgun. If it can be gotten to easily the fire department will catch it and relocate it but it seems to hide real well.

Hopefully you have figured out a way to rid the sneaky snake. I read through some of these posts again and it all seemed to bring back a song in my memory.

Click here this was a big country hit back in the '60s or early '70s as I vaguely remember! Great song, I still enjoy it!

Leave him (or her) alone . . . . it will leave if there is not food or water in there. I hate snakes, but I won't harm them.

I would contact a herpetologist in the area for help. Google it.

Do not be spreading gasoline fumes in your trailer unless you want to risk a disaster. Hopefully that was intended as a joke.

X2. No sense in killing the snake, he didn't move in on purpose and doesn't know any better.

We're rvers, outdoor lovers, let's take care of Mother Nature.

Yes, you are. ๐Ÿ˜‰ Kill the rattler, then eat it. I heard they are pretty tasty...

The photo of the red/black/yellow snake looks like a King Snake that eats other snakes. If you can find on put it in the FW to eat the rattlesnake.

I believe it's a Tx coral snake.

If it was my fifth wheel I would either unloaded my shotgun on it or burn the RV to the ground. One of biggest phobias is snakes. ๐Ÿ™‚

I don't have a problem with the death penalty in this case. Snakes wouldn't hesitate to kill me and eat me if they could.

XXX22 I have a big fear of snakes, had a dog bit in the face 10 years ago by a rattle snake. I was on a hunting trip took over three hours to get to a vet that had ANTI VENNOM. It was horrible what that dog went through (A softball size boil on her face, neck so swallon I didn't think she would make it to the vet) Two viles of anti vennom $500 each at that time. I'm 6'3" 250lbs and I would scream like a girl two.

I had a rescue Collie from TX that had been bitten by a rattle snake before I got her. We have garden snakes around here and any time she found a snake she would kill it.

I've heard that as well, that once bitten, a dog hates snakes and will try to kill them. I've seen a Lab kill a water moccasin. He kept circling it until he saw his opportunity. Lab bit him behind the head. I have a bayou/swamp behind the house and usually kill 3-4 moccasins a year. None yet. Both my sons dogs have been bit. No vet visits. Swelled up and got over it.

My aunt and late uncle, down in Mena AR, had a cat that would kill moccasins and bring them up to the house. Unfortunately, they weren't =always= dead, so they had to be d@mn careful in walking around the house. ๐Ÿ™‚

Yeah the old Cattle rancher that lives on the ranch where my dog was bit thought I was nut's for taking my dog to the vet. He's a state licenesed mountain lion trapper. Anytime theres a problem mountain lion in his part of the state he deals with it. Bottom line is he has a lot of working dogs (They are not pets as he puts it, there TOOLS) and when they get snake bit it's up to the dog to get better. He says he's never had one die yet. and never spent a dime at the vet.

I would be a little suspicious of her motives. She may have a boyfriend and wants you to have a heart attack so she can have all the assets not just half.
