New 5th wheel thoughts

I am looking to replace my 2011 Heartland Sundance 3300CK. Great RV but would like to move up a few steps. Looking for options that I cannot get and a different floor plan.

I would like:
high gloss exterior finish
auto leveling system
frameless windows
central vac
King Bed

Looking for a front living with an outdoor kitchen.

Just wondering if anyone has any experience with models that have what I am looking for.

Thanks in advance

Do not know if you would consider a Cedar Creek?
The 29RE or the 33RL-Silverback Fifth Wheel has a option for Outside Kitchen Includes Sink w/Faucet in the slide. You can check it out on their web site.

You are looking for a front live Fifth Wheel so that may not be waht you are looking for. Just giving you some options.
Best of luck in your search.

It's doubtful you'll find a FL fiver with an outdoor kitchen. Most of outdoor kitchen fivers are bunkhouse models.

I really like the front living fivers. Some have limited headroom and may feel a little restrictive if you're 6'5".

Hope you have a capable dual rear wheel diesel pickup, as the FL's are pretty heavy.

We are looking for a fifth wheel and found that the 2014 Open Range 386FLR has the living space up front and the bedroom in the back. I haven't seen one that has an outdoor kitchen but it does have the living space up front.

I think the outdoor kitchens are to slowly move tent campers inside one step at a time! Take that off the list and you are then stuck trying to find a King bed in the rear of a 5th wheel.

I would be more concerned with straight on viewing of a LR TV with theater seating, and a good place to do computer work.

Our little 29' Cardinal, has a Camper King (72x80), computer desk, and two recliners that give straight on TV viewing.

To me the rear entertainment or FLR models are just like MH with the TV mounted above the drive and passenger seats. Compromise compromise!!!

Then you have to decide on open or enclosed bathroom.

Don't all outdoor kitchen fridges run on 110V? Pretty much stuck with full hookups to use the outdoor portion. Lots of trade offs on FL units.

It is not an outdoor kitchen but our front livingroom Monty has plenty of room in each of the under front outside storage compartments for our folding table, folding chairs and our gas grill, all that we use regularly.

That is what I have found so far, but I hope someone else has more info than I have thus gathered. Maybe I just invented something:)

you gotta get the space from somewhere.. 2 ft is a lot to take out of a rear bedroom or living area.. on the bunkouse its floor space between the two bed setups.. never noticed by children. I would like the outside kitchen too..

floor layout in a FW is like a puzzle. take all these things with fixed sizes and arrange them in different ways. some layouts have manufacturing issues, some won't fit the wheels, door, height, etc..

You could rig an outdoor kitchen. Most front living room models have space under the rear bedroom, although it's not huge. We keep our camp chairs in there.

But, yes, outdoor kitchens are found only on bunkhouse/family oriented models. Front living room models are considered more of a "couples coach"
