New Axles in, now new question

Changed both bent axles, new bushings, new hanger kit, wet bolts.
I finished everything yesterday evening but I don't have that "W" at the equalizer like I was expecting. I put 3 photo links below so maybe on will work. What I did at assembly was, hang everything with bolts finger tight, bolted everything using 9/16 grade five wet bolts torqued to 70+, put on tires, and let everything down. I haven't greased the wet bolts yet because was out of grease but will do that today. Should it have that "W" or do I need to do something else to get it?

I liked the idea myself. Plan on getting the materials and have my son weld it for me. Think that should take any flex out.

From the length of those hangers I'd also agree with Me Again and the idea of reinforcing those hangers with cross bracing. It may help with the handling too as it keeps things from flexing.

I already have everything together and finished now. I searched on internet to see what the EZFlex was and wish I'd have known about them. Like the wet bolts I didn't know about until I was ready to go together last week and had to wait a week for them to come in.

I suspect a drive down the street will fix the issue. If not, take the spring off the equalizer and replace it when adding some weight on the wheel (touching the ground). That should correct the issue. Why not add the EZ flex rubber equalizers at the same time as doing the wetbolts and axles? The EZ flex equalizers make a noticable difference in towing (at least mine does).
I'd have to second this suggestion. Adding the EZ Flex was the best money I've spent on my toyhauler. Not horribly expensive, but worth every penny. IMO anyway.

My friend probably did the fab job at our local "go to steel fab shop" for Me Again. Same friend did the same job on my Avion Platinum 32.5 when we beefed up a weak factory suspension.
That is how they build all their custom trailers.

Ok, got it done. Took some experimenting with the jack but figured it out and have what I need. Posting photo.

Me Again...I do like the idea you have about welding the square tubing across the hangers and thanks for the pictures. I'm not a welder but my youngest son is so he can have that project.

Agree with "ME Again", spring shackles are wrong. Then MUST be in the up position.

You can jack up the end of each spring until they get pop and flip over.

In this picture you can see how they should be positioned.

The spring shackles at the equalizer should be going up not down. If you tow it they might "pop" into their correct position. Do not get your hand, arm or body it the area when then decide to flip up, as there will be a lot of force occurring when they flip up.

You have really long spring hangers. It would really improve handling to have 2" square tubes welded from side to side at each of the three spring hanger locations. Chris

Have you moved the 5ver down the road yet? That may deal with the problem.
