Crickeydog, I would put those tires on hold for a few months and go ahead and get that Colt. You can run those old tires a bit longer and you'll have you one fine handgun, and you know dang right well you want that more than those tires......

YOU SOLD ME!!! THE 6 NEW RIB'S ARE ON HOLD WHILE THE OLD RIBS STAY MOUNTED FOR A BIT LONGER!!! Tomorrow I'm buying my Colt.:B Thanks for straightening me out there vietvet66-67. Sometimes one Viet Vet just has to help another Viet Vet.

Why not use all Ribs. They are all steel with no fabric belts as opposed to the MS2. You don't need any all season traction as you have no drive wheels or steering axle.

I understood these to be for a dual wheel truck, that's the only reason I mentioned MS2. If these were to go on a camper, no comparison, Ribs all the way.

Last Sept. I put 8 Transforce's on my set up for less than $1600. at my local family owned tire shop. Real good service every time I go there. Got truck tires rotated last week within 5 min. of pulling up to the shop. They weren't busy yet and 4 guys got right on it.

$1400.00 is what we paid for 6 Michelin MS2's for our 16" wheels at a local tire store. discount and Costco were $4.00 less per tire but after the install we paid $11.00 per tire less than the big tire stores. If the MS2 is the highway tread as we have. 16000 miles an almost no tread wear. No cracking yet and if it happens no more Michelins for me.

I checked Costco in Vegas and was shocked, they wanted 2-$300 more than Discount for the set of 6.

I think I am going to rotate the fronts side to side. I run 80psi in fronts but I am starting to get stepped edges inside and out both sides. My alignment guy said they need to be rotated. I think this is happening because the tires have so much siping. Never have had this happen before with Michelins or BFG's.

Never have I had any cracking on the many sets of Michelins over the years.

That sounds a bit high, I know that's high for my area. I buy LTX MS2 for my dual wheel trucks, they are under $1,600 mounted and balanced. Different areas have different price ranges, maybe your price is in line for your neck of the woods.

$1200 got me 4 LTX MS2 for my old ford SRW last year from discount tire. $2k for outfitting a dually sounds about right.
