I owned a 2011 F 350 w/ the 6.7L diesel.
Way, WAY more reliable than the 6.0L diesel.
However, there is one weak spot on that engine, which Ford has reportedly corrected by a change in the 2015's.
The high pressure fuel pump. It is a Bosch CP 4.2 pump. The problem with this pump arises from US diesel fuel standards.
Bosch made the pump to work on European diesel standards, which have a wear scar rating of 460 max.
Mind you, the ONLY lubrication this pump gets is from the fuel itself.
So then you have the US diesel fuel, which is manufactured to a wear scar rating of 520 max.
So you may wish to add a lubricity additive on a very regular basis to your fuel fills to make up the difference between the design specs and US fuel specifications.
Ford sells such a product, their part number is PM 22-A. I added some each and every time I fueled up.
Also there is a fuel/water separator under the drivers door, inside the frame. Owners manual on mine says drain it once a month. I just drained a little into a large glass jar and watched this for any water levels to develop. None ever did. But, as I said, Ford says to drain this on a regular basis.
