I would love to have a couple of these. Not sure I put a $300 price on seeing my level in 2 tanks though. I keep waiting and hoping the price will fall or these will get more popular and drive the price down.

After 30 years of camping, I've resorted to three 20 lb bottles. That way we can exchange anywhere and always have one for the WeberQ. Neat conversation piece but impractical for us.

For the cost of these I don't think I'd ever be thinking of trading for a steel tank. I'd get it refilled instead. The beauty of being able to see the level is you shouldn't be emptying it unexpectedly.

I seen the see through tanks about 15 years ago and they were only 20/lb barbeque size then and $135MT never made a splash with Me carbon fiber I think looking back..Good idea but high cost try to trade one in at K-mart I think not if in need of B-Q gas You would be stuck...lol..

Looks like a good idea to me. If I needed a cylinder I wouldn't have any issue with trying one.

Apparently, these weren't involved in the recall mentioned above.

What? You expected only people who own the things to respond? Fat chance.

I got two of the first Lite Cylinders when they came out and had the company gave me two under warranty in "12" when the outside cases broke. Shortly after they were all had a recall and the company went under. Then the Feds made it illegal for ALL tanks to be refilled. Lots of places filled them anyway. Finally caught up with me and can't get them refilled anywhere. I wouldn't touch anything but the old steel tanks with a ten foot poll.

Thanks. I'll stick with my steel tanks for a while longer. ๐Ÿ™‚ Any 3rd party vendors with them? All I'm seeing are the smaller ones.

Looks like they would be very handy if you only had one cylinder and needed to know when it was running low. And they would be easier to lift since they weigh less than steel. Price is a little high, but not horrible. I guess it would depend on how you want to spend your money.

Price is a disadvantage.
Being able to see the liquid level is an advantage.
Being different might be a disadvantage trying to get a refill.

I can see it with a TC but I don't know what purpose it would serve on a fiver or other large RV.
