Replacing Tires

Tired of all the blowouts we have had on the 5er. Originals ST235/80/r16 E. I see lots of controversy on the ST tires. What is the most people are using to replace tires with ? I am looking at Bridgestone Duravis R250's LT235/85/r16 E. Would these interchange with what I now have on my 5er? Avalanche 330RE 11,710 pounds. I am getting really confused and with all the knowledge on this forum figured someone would be able to help me out....Thanks :?

IF 6,000# axles and OEM tire is "E" rated, the Duravis250 or 500 has been highly recommended and I would also recommend the Michelin XPS RIBS also, though they are pricier.

Another vote for Michelin XPS Ribs. Run 8 of them (LT 235/85 R 16) on our 20k fiver - 2 axle duals.

Been running Michelin Rib tires on all of our trucks and 5'er for the past 10 years. Have never had a blow out.

Or poor quality original equipment ST chinese made tires. The Duravis would be one of the top choices if it was my trailer..

With that weight, any Load Range E Light Truck tire will do. I run B. F. Goodrich Commercial TA (which have a good trailer tread pattern) in size LT 245/75R16 that is 1/2 inch wider and the same diameter as the original STs.

I got mine at Tire KIngdom at Semoran/Lake Margaret for about $700 for the four; mounted, balanced, and on the trailer.
