Strange rationale for purchase.
GY paying for damages:
GY had to bite the bullet several years ago when they lost out in court. IMO - GY would rather *not* be there again.
Of course - GY WILL compensate you for down time during repairs, right?...:h
IMHO - I've never purchased *any* tire brand that has had a record of failures (ahhhh - "problems"), never had a tire failure or flat either (TTs & 5ths since 1975) - so guess I'll just keep on rolling the (non-GY) dice...:W

Whatever you say.

I paid $1,600.00 for 4 G614's. I would not be willing to roll the dice on something that is untested to save $600.00. I hope these tires work out.
Good luck and keep us posted as we all will need more as time passes.
Smart move IMHO! I have owned two sets go GY "G" tires with many thousands of miles not even a flat. Both sets were dated in 07, prior to that time they did have some problems but since have been VERY trouble free.
If you do have a problem GY WILL pay for damages and a new tire. Not another out there will do the same.

Last two sets of GY's have been the "H" model and also ZERO problems. I am so confident in them I don't have a TPMS. The way I look at buying the best in this example you only paid $600 for your tires the $1,000 was a given. That philosophy has served me well.
I took the savings and purchased the Sailun S637 that are every bit as good as the Goodyear. Instead of paying $1,600.00 I simply took the savings and paid 1//2 the price of the Goodyear's.
Sailun's are a game changer. 3 years and they are still going strong.
As far as paying for damage. I already have insurance on my RV to cover any damage that may occur. I don't need a 2nd pseudo policy paid to Goodyear to cover damaged caused by my tires.

I'd also look at the G rated Sailun S637 tires, very reputable as only Chinese tire manufacturer that I'm aware of that has passed TS16949 certification...also much cheaper than the GY G 614's.
X2. I put them on our trailer last year and they are a very heavy robust tire. I have absolutely no issues with them so far and have yet to read anything negative about them. I haven't even had to add air to them yet.
