Sewer Hose

What is the longest sewer hose you can get? It seems like in most RV parks we've been to lately, it's a long way from the outlet on the Rv to where it goes into the ground. What size do most of you have?

I purchased it from TSC (Tractor Supply Company). The carrier and the cage were two separate items. It also had a top, (a third separate item), but I did not want the top. That way I could carry taller items. The cage does come off. It's held with cotter type pins that remove quite easy. I checked the TSC web site, and didn't see the exact model. I did get this a couple years ago. Here's the closest I could find, but I don't see any availability for attaching sides. Price is not bad. We compared WallMart when we bought this, and like TSC much better. Click here

I came to like this as a storage solution for the stinky stuff. I think I have two 15' lengths but not 100% sure never needed to use more than one.
Looks like some places don't give much thought as to where the hook ups are on about 99% of trailers. I may need to add a second post.

To free up space in the bed of the truck, I started transporting it like this. My bumper is reinforced with a factory installed hitch. This rests right above the hitch. The blue tote is our water hoses.

The "box" came from WallMart, if I remember right. They are a vinyl-plastic and seal pretty tight. I have 2 of these boxes, wish I had a couple more. Unfortunately, they are too long for both to fit in this cage:

Sewer Solutions. 10' sections that piece together for 20' plus a 9' PVC section that goes in the middle for a total of 29' if needed. The 20' stores in the same amount of space as a 25' garden hose, self cleaning, can run over it with the truck and not hurt it - - no "brown fountain" name for this tough hose. Love it.

Ditto the above.
Make it as long as you like - or have sewer hoses.

If you're only going to be in that campground a couple of days, you can always use an adapter 3" to garden hose (not white!) and only open your gray water dump valve......use the dump station or the next cg for the black water.

BTW - Whatever it takes to remind yourself - don't forget and open the black drain valve when connected to the green garden hose!..:(..:W

Maybe a macerator pump would work better for your situation?

A pump doesn't alleviate the need for a long hose. Helps if the run is uphill regardless of distance.

I was thinking it would be easier to carry the narrow macerator hose than several lengths of sewer hose.

Yes, one could carry a 50' garden hose and not have an issue anywhere. I bought my macerator for use at home and never considered using it while camping.

Like others, I carry a 10' along with a 20' and have never needed longer.

Funny I have the same box!
WE know a good sewer box when we see one.

I carry 2 - 10ft sections. Rarely use both. I don't usually even hook up the sewer until I'm ready to leave if I only stay 2-3 days. Then if I need to I just back up to reach the sewer. Rather just deal with one stinky hose if I can. No reason to hook the sewer up right away if the tanks are empty..

Buy 3-4 short sections that you can couple together to get what length you need. Personally, I've got probably 40' in the locker, if needed. 4 x 10' sections, IIRC. I don't store them in a pipe or the bumper, I simply couple the 2 ends together and toss 'em in the bottom of the locker. After rinsing with clean water, of course. ๐Ÿ™‚
