just installed the 555025. very easy. some said they were a little long, but mine fit perfect. picked them up at amazon for about 31.00 each.

Havasu on 21st.
65th birthday on Feb 1. while crawling around under 5er, for the first time realized I was not young anymore.

also notice 2 looong rods hanging down. they go to the slide for cables. could I have a bracket or something missing, or do they just hang and flop around while traveling

When I changed out the shocks on the HR Presidential Suite, I used Monroe Severe Duty shocks and they worked great and were a perfect fit. (though a little pricey, but worth it).

autozone could order the shocks for me. each is 49.00.
total is about 200.00
can get the joy rider setup for 420.00
I keep hearing because of the angle of stock shock it does not really work, is that true, also even if I go Joy Rider, can they really make a difference at 12000 lbs

I used these on our 36' MS and they are US Made and work well. I am sure they will fit 90% of RV's out there.

I have the Joy Riders on a 29' 2012 Montana,. I purchased right from Sonny Dismuke, the maker and had my mechanic install them. I would not have any work done on my rv by CW, including putting air in my tires.

The cedar creek rep, recommended Joy Rider shock to me. He said they no longer install them on new trailers, since the angle that they can install them does not work well. I replaced 7 year old originals with Monroes, that were supposed to be correct, but all the stems bent in first year. The Joy Riders are $230.00 per axle as camping world has them on sale with new brackets, which get them at a better angle, like shock are supposed to be installed. Camping world had article in one of the old magazines, showing how to install them. If you put Joy riders in one of search engines you will find lots of info. They have two sizes, probably be 3" with fifth wheel trailer. You measure axle inside u bolts, to determine this as reps at camping world, had no idea when I asked.

I was able to cross reference the shocks on my previous rig by going to a NAPA store. Guy called someone who gave him a Monroe #. I would get a Monroe that has the same OAL and travel.

Ask this question on the Cardinal RV Club. Someone there knows what will work, I have seen it posted.

Since that phrase is so popular around here, it should be an acronym. I would also like to see YCFS. "You can't..." well, you know.

Most any auto parts store should have a cross reference for you.
