If your tank is cracked, remove the belly covering to find/see it and look for the leak. I had great success using Plasti-Mend for ABS to fix a crack at the outlet for my Grey tank. That fix passed the full tank leak test, but then another smaller crack and leak revealed itself so the Plasti-Mend fixed that too.

A lot of these things could be a problem. Bought a new Cameo and 1 month later had smell. Dealer checked everything, and finally opened up black tank. We had a pyramid. Problem was using a treatment that had froze over the winter killing all the bacteria. Dealer used Digest It and overnight liquified the pyramid. Last year had problem again. Read label on Digest It and says do not allow it to freeze. Bought a new bottle and got rid of problem. This stuff works. We do use more water then whatdirections say. Outherwise follow instructions.

We also had a very bad smell by the 3rd day, after emptying the grey tank all the smell went away, then again 3 days later same thing.
We replaced vacuum breaker under the sink many times over two years. It turned out that we had a crack in the top of the grey tank, as the tank filled the vapors escaped into the RV, talk about stink. We replaced the grey tank with a new one and no more problems.

had the same problem develop with my arctic fox a couple of months ago and it turned out the vacuum breaker under the bathroom sink was stuck open and the fans were sucking the tank fumes back into the rv.

Can I ask how you checked the vent pipe? When you dump next, with the valves OPEN, can you feed a water hose with nozzle down the vent pipe so it forces water thru it? This will do two thing, make sure your vent is clear and will also flush the tank.

If you have narrowed the problem to the Blackwater Holding Tank, I would use a chemical deoderant like AquaChem (see URL above for a source). Add more than recommended and fill the tank 3/4 full. Drive over bumpy roads to get the solution sloshing around (drive for 30 plus minutes). Stop for 30 minutes and then drive the bumpy road again for 10 minutes, fill the tank full and then dump. Fill the tank again and dump. Add a gallon of water and twice the recommended chemicals and see if that takes care of the smell.

The aqua chem has enzymes which help to digest solids into liquid. They work over time so it may take a few cleanings to get rid of any built up solids.

I add one packet of the dry AquaChem each time after I dump the blackkwater tank.

Just a thought, We have Dometic 310 toilet in our 5er, it seems like every spring we have trouble with the seal in the toilet bowl holding water. We recently had some smell but the bowl had no water in it so I took some petroleum jelly and put on the seal and the water stays in the bowl and the sewer smell is gone. The water in the bowl acts as a barrier against the gases.Otherwise, is your vent plugged ? Or as someone else suggested, make sure your knobs on your gas stove and oven didn't get bumped on in the slightest. I have had that happen also!

Do you use deodorant? I need to when the temps are up. Haven't used it all year till we got to San Antonio. Will probably need it till we get to San Diego.
