Well, 28,800 lbs. carrying capacity for an 18,000 lb. 5th wheel, which should have around 15,000 lbs. on the axles, might be a bit of overkill. ๐ Heck, you probably wouldn't even have to put any air in them. ๐
Where pray tell do you come up with 28,800 pounds carrying capacity?
4800 times four equals around 19,000 pounds.
Well OP was talking about purchasing 7 new tires so we are assuming that he has a tri-axle RV and was getting a spare also.

Fifth wheel is 40' #18,000 gross. Ready to invest in 7 new tires. Want to invest in quality. My tire dealer offered 4 brands, all 10 ply. 235/80/16. I am unable to go to bigger size and more ply's because of space. Hercules, goodyear, maxxis, and Samson. I know about good rating on maxxis, should I go with them?

Aw geeze, just go online and buy 17.5 inch tire and wheel package and be done with it. With ratings well over 4000 pounds each you will never regret it.
