Voltage 3950 antenna location photos please??

I'm sick of the useless fixed omni antenna on my early 2011 unit. I plan to replace it with a crank-up Winegard but it won't fit in the same location.

Would somebody with a later model 3950 please take a couple of photos of the roof and crank inside so I can pinpoint the exact location?

Thanks.

I haven't had time to work on this project any further.

I am going to attempt to make the sensar antenna work. As you noted, the jack would be located around other tall items, plus I want to attach a cell antenna to the winegard mast.

I walked through a 2013 3950 over the weekend and the crank handle was located in the same location as the photo above.

Joe,

I investigated this a bit further and found that my '11 3905 antenna is mounted further back between the bathroom vent and main A/C but there is still not a 66" clearance to fit the Sensar antenna.

It looks like the later models relocated the antenna to the left side of the roof, above the bedroom "hallway."

Here you can see a couple high res pictures on the Voltage website. If you zoom in, you can see the crank on the ceiling. First is a 3950, second is a 3905.

Hope this helps. I may just go with the Jack antenna in the stock location to avoid new holes/wiring.
I notice that the cranks are in different locations on the two essentially identical (in that area) RVs. I wonder if there is a reason or it's just the installers slapped it in two different places just because.

Did you try the Jack antenna? I'm concerned that because it's right behind the air conditioner the signal might be blocked. I guess direction is important.

Eyeballing it, it would appear that the current antenna is directly above the track for the bathroom door.

This is why I'd like photos of the location of the crank-up Winegard. There isn't enough room to retrofit it where the stock antenna was installed:

Because the air conditioner is right in front and the bathroom vent is right behind. I don't think there is enough room and I'm not comfortable installing it sideways.

Joe,

Why won't the winegard fit in the same location? I have the same crappy Jensen antenna on my unit that needs to go as well. I was hoping the swap to a winegard or Jack would be a simple install.
