I decided that the ground clearance was inadequate for my 7X18 VRV so I decided to install the Perfect Casita (Dexter Torflex #10) Axle Lift Kits to give me an additional 3 inches of ground clearance.

Here is the before:

Here is the Perfect Casita (Dexter Torflex #10) Axle Lift Kit Item#: 610079216846 it takes one kit per axle:

Here is after I placed it on Jack stands and removed the wheels (I used one just before and after the axles). The wheels need to be slightly higher than three inches off the ground so the axles can be lowered enough to fit the blocks between the axle flange and the frame:

I decided that it would be easier to loosen all the bolts on each axle and then lower one side to install the blocks. This would keep the axles stable since the drum is offset. If the axle is totally free, the drums are going to want to swing down making it harder to line them up during reassembly. This worked out great until I got to the other side. I found the bolts became slightly bound due to the angle of the axle flange vs the frame flange. It wasn't too bad, I just had to turn the bolts out of the holes rather than just slip them out. Everything is left loosely assembled until all the blocks are in place.

As you can see, I supported the axles with the floor jack during assembly. Once everything was in place and hand tight, I put a little upward pressure on the axles to make sure the blocks and axles were seated. Everything was torqued to 90 ft lbs.

Tomorrow I am going to lengthen the brake wires and make sure the connections are better than the quick connects that the factory used.

Once it is finished I will post some final pictures.

Here are the after pictures:

I flipped the axles and gave mine a new truck and Superglide hitch. Almost 11" of clearance above the truck rails.

Lets get with it People. On my 2013 29" Stealth, The shower is almost triangle shaped. What a pain it was to shower so I installed a "Extend-A-Shower" from Camping World. It only took about 30 minutes for the whole job by myself. It would make it easier to do it with two people. What a big difference. No more shower curtain sticking to me and a lot more room to move around in the shower. I just bought this toy Box in August, Brand new, so I'll have a lot of improvements to make. I live in my trailer for most of the year. It's my fourth Trailer in 20 years and learning from others is the easiest way to avoid mistakes. I'm always welcome to suggestion and new ideas! Wrench

What's the reasoning behind this? Just curious.
I could be wrong, but I assumed that was his wish list for a new RV.
I don't think so, but he could be putting us on:

"I gutted the interior of my raptor and installed a Viking fridge with oven. The top runs off propane while the bottom runs on natural gas."

A fridge with an oven? I didn't notice this the first time, so I think it might be a joke.

I started the Winter Prep, so i had a loose vent door coming away from the opening, installed new screws to tighten it up, sealed edges. Check roof is next....

Might even rain here in socal. 3 weeks ago i bought a solar maintainer kit from SSSS, cool 3 watt unit, installed it against the diamomd plate lower siding below the batt compartment, works great, i checked it today with my meter, fully charged batts....

In full sun all day long, happy with that mod.

Was thinking of doing the same thing.

How do you post pics?

Upload your pics to a pic site like tinypic.com (I like this one). Once uploaded, it will give you several links to choose from. Copy the one for message boards and paste it in this forum thread and wah la, your picture will be here for all to see.

I gutted the interior of my raptor and installed a Viking fridge with oven. The top runs off propane while the bottom runs on natural gas. I pulled all the wall panel off and installed more outlets. I installed schon LED lights on the walls and removed the slide-outs and re-leveled them so the seal better. I recessed a 32" TV and restructured the original Raptor TV area.

I pulled the fridge and gutted the pantry area and installed a side by side in that area. I lost the pull out pantry but cut into the garage wall and installed a whole cabinet system. Finally, I installed a wrap around couch with recliners on each end. All leather.

Sorry. No before or after pics.
