What is my recommendation for tires? My brand new toy hauler is getting Michelin XPS Ribs put on tomorrow. Gonna run me around $2k to do three axles. That is what I think of my brand new Chinese ST tires.

Don't the Mobile Suites have 8000# axles??
Aren't those Goodyear Tires 'G' rated (G614s)??????
You don't want to go with ANY 'E' tire due to weight of that rig.
You either get Goodyear G614s or upgrade to 17.5" tires/rims.....like what came on the Elite Suites
1. Correct, the axles are 8,000 #.
2. It's a 16 inch "G" rated tire according to the Owner's Manual.
3. These are the original tires on the RV (just purchased it 3 months ago and I am nervous about running with tires that old). I checked the date code on the tires and they are 2006 just like the RV.
Ok, I'm going to expose my ignorance now ... but if I understand correctly (which I claim to know very little), an E rated tire is 10 ply and a G rate tire is 14 ply? And the greater the # of ply then the greater the load they can carry?

8000# axles........'G' rated tires
Goodyear G614s or Sailun S637s.......no other GOOD choices in 16" 'G' Rated
You need the 'G' rated (load capacity) for that rig.
And YES you need new tires NOW.
Yes, on all points. Found them in stock at the local Discount Tire, $422 per tire. Looks like I'll be spending $1,700 tomorrow. But peace of mind and knowing we're traveling safely down the road for ourselves, and others as well, is well worth the expense.
Thanks all for your input. It's most appreciated.
