Whats Your Real Weights? Truck and Trailer. The Real Deal

I don’t know if it’s been done before or not but I was thinking about keeping a running list of real truck weights by year and type, and trailer weights by brand, size and what the total combined weight is of each guys rig. I was hoping the info would be a help for guys wondering about what the real weights are for a certain type of truck and to keep track of the more popular brand 5th wheel trailers. Another thing that will come out of it will be to see just how many guys really know what they are towing and if they know what their weight capacities are.
I’m sure it will take some time to compile a list and it will grow as guys add there info but I’m hoping it will help the newer guys in the long run to be directed back over to this thread in the future.
I’ll keep the TV lists to mainly the big 3 and from ¾ ton and up and I’ll try to keep the 5ers in a group by real GVW, length, and then manufacture. Any ideas are welcome as long as it makes things easier. And only real information can be given, so no guessing allowed. Only guys that have scaled there rigs or are totally certain of the weights.
Let’s see if I can keep the format real simple to type down and that will make it simpler for guys to refer back to and to keep track of.
Here we go……

TV - 2006 Dodge Mega Cab 3500 4x4, real scaled weight with full fuel, hitch, DH-DW and misc. gear = 7,500lbs. TV GVWR is 10,200lbs
5ver – KZ New Vision TH 38ft 14,500lbs loaded GVW. GVWR is 18,000lbs

2008 F350 DRW Lariat 4x4 long bed 6.4 PS.
Truck max GVRW is 13,000 lbs. Total GCVW 23,500
Truck with fuel and 2 people. 5340 front
4240 rear
Total unloaded truck 9,580 lbs.

2006 Everest 323P Rear Kitchen Gross vech. weight is 14,200 lbs.
Front Axle 4,800
Rear Axle 5,260
Total Trailer Axle weights 10,060
Total weight of Trailer and Truck with full Propane and 20 gallons of water is 22,680 lbs. Under GCVW by 820 lbs.

22,680 - 10,060 Trailer - 9,580 truck is 3,040 hitch weight.

10,060 axle plus hitch 3,040 is 13,100 lbs total trailer weight.
20% of 13,100 is 2,620 suggested hitch weight. I'm under everywhere except hitch weight, where I am over by 420 lbs. My total truck
GVRW is 12,620, under by 380 lbs.
I'm legal, a little tongue heavy, but very little wiggle room.
Truck pulls it nicely, but I have some of that Rear Kitchen bounce.
I'm reluctant to move any weight from the front of the trailer to the middle or worse back of the trailer.
Guess I just need to get rid of some junk in the basement!

FastEagle; are you saying

your truck GVWR is 11.5K?
your 5er GVWR is 14.2K?
your truck GCWR is 26K?

what are the details on your truck?

Well my truck maxes out at 11.5K and my 5er maxes out at 14.2K and I'm allowed 26K combined so I must be OK, right?

Yes, In KGs. But that is ONLY axle weights NOT GVWR which includes the weight on the hitch. The GVWR ( 1775 ) given is the number you pay attention to. The GAWR is the absolute maximum for the axles at 32# PSI tire pressure. If the hitch weight is about 12 percent of the GVWR then the actual axle load you should expect to see when you are ready to travel is about 1560 KGs, which is about 80 percent of the GAWR. That is about right.

Okay, so here is a picture of my label on the fifth wheel, I gather it is telling me what each axle will take and total weight.
Am I correct?

Here is mine,

TV: 2005 F-250 4x4 PS Short Bed weighed in at almost 8500lbs, with fuel, 120lbs of tools, DW. 33 inch oversize tires.

5th Wheel: 2008 Fuzion 362, with Onan 5500 genset (300lbs) empty from the dealer the day I picked it up (except for 20 gal of gas added to fuel station) gross weight was 20940lbs. (added 18k Reese slider + Airbags to truck) No DW (she is 112lbs)

Interestingly, with straight subtraction I was within 200lbs of the UVW claimed by the manufacturer, if you account for the 5th wheel hitch and airbags + fuel in fuel station I added that day, Keystone actually overstated their weight by a couple hundred lbs.
Not a bad idea I guess to add a little wiggle room.

Loaded:
All our stuff + full fuel station (30 gal gas)+ 50 gal water + 3 propane tanks full + Honda VTX 1800, saddlebags etc (850lbs)+ tools + TV full of Diesel + changed to 5th Airborne hitch (+- 100lbs) 15 gals in waste tanks and of course DW. Gross weight was 22680lbs

Just under my GCWR of 23000lbs.

Wow just did a preview and my nice colums are gone. Maybe this will help. First set of numbers are the trk spec, the second are the actual weight and the third are the difference. Hope you make it out.

The Weight Police should be happy I'm under on everything. I could shift some weight up front for more pin weight, but it seems to pull just fine.

Marspec,

I hear what you are saying.

I am sure we are okay, but the pin weight, I am sure, is more than we should
be putting one the rear axles.

Like I said, next truck will be a F350 - that will cure any ills or thoughts
I may have.

Total GVWR is 8800 lbs. (we're okay)

Payload capacity has nothing to do with it. It's the total weight of the truck that counts. The way I figure it truck/trailer hooked up puts truck weight of 10,080#, 1,280# above rated GVW of truck. From 2005 and up the 250 is rated at 9,800# (but weighs more, not sure how much though). FWIW I hauled 10,000# fivers for years with a 250 (95 and 05)and never felt like I was overdoing it, but when I went to 14,000# I upgraded the TV.
