2015 Allegro 32SA

My DW and I are seriously considering moving up from a Class C to an Allegro Gas Class A. They seem to be quality rigs, but I am hoping I can get some feedback if this Company is as good as I think they are. We're focusing on a new Open Roads 32SA model as it is the King Bed version of the popular 31SA model. Any thoughts/feedback appreciated. My hope is that I can get MH discounted 20-25% from MSRP, but am concerned this being the introductory year of this model I may have difficulty.

Have not watched video but you get what you pay for.
Outside storage is much better laid out and much larger than the competition and all mine are through side to side, doors are same as their higher end coaches and larger than any of the competition, latches are painted
AC returns are ducted rather than the cheap one grill per ac unit.
Kitchen ac outlets are on backspash where they can be used(not at end wall of cabinet)
Queen bed is not shortened by 6" like some manufacturers
One can actually step out of shower and have room to dry off in our rear bath rather than step into hall or bedroom to dry off as are most of the competition
Water pump can be turned on at any plumbed location
The list goes on. All one has to do is spend some time comparing side by side

We are in our 2006 Allegro Bay 34' and have nothing but high praise for the quality and the workmanship. Perfect? Absolutely not. We have had some issues. Point is that they were taken care of with no hassle by the Tiffin network. We had a dealership tell us that they had no problem with doing warranty work even though they were not a Tiffin dealership because Tiffin always paid their bills promptly and were easy to work with. We have been to Red Bay twice and will go again soon for some refit and refresh work. I have even had occasion to call for parts and have had them shipped that day sometimes for free but even if not then at least reasonably priced. I doubt we will buy another coach but if we were to do so I would look to Tiffin first.

Since you are so close to the Tiffin plant I suggest that you drive down and take the plant tour. They are done daily at I believe 9:30 AM. While there you should take the very short drive over to the paint plant which is an amazing operation. The tour is up close and personal and you can even ask your questions directly to the workers. For some reason there are those that have a strong dislike for Tiffin. You will find that most of then have never owned one. We are on our second. We had our first Allegro Bay Gas coach for about ten years. We loved it and had very few problems. Our current coach listed below we have had for 11 months and have about 14,000 miles on it. We have had only the usual new coach problems. One thing that you can be sure of it that Tiffin will stand behind your coach many years after the warranty expires. There are a lot of nice coaches out there; we just prefer Tiffin. Yes you should be able to hold for a 25-26% discount off the actual manufactured price. If you want to order a new one you usually can work a better deal. If you order one then you can get the build date and go watch it be built and painted. A fun and educational experience. Good Luck

We are on our 2nd tiffin allegro and have been very pleased with the quaility just took the ford chassis through the mountains for the first time and it performed just as nice as the workhorse in our 04. We have 32ca and love that floor plan.

I've had two Tiffins and both have been incredible values for the money. Tiffin has many more things as standard then other manufacturers.

Since you are from an area fairly close to the Tiffin plant and some of its best dealers, I suggest you take a look Sherman RV in Sherman, MS and Davis Motorhomes in Memphis. Both dealers are easy to work with, no hassle type of companies. Pricing will be at least 25% off MSRP. Tiffin price lists are very easy to get ahold of so you can see what you are dealing with.

All this being said, you do have a Tiffin dealer just east of Knoxville. Have you talked to them? They may just match anything Sherman and Davis have to offer and you won't have to travel to pick up the new baby.

We were considering a used Tiffin RED so I did a lot of research on them and found a great resource here: http://www.tiffinrvnetwork.com/index.php

We wound up with a Newmar Ventana. I know the DPs are a different animal but chose the Newmar over the Tiffin primarily because of the additional cargo capacity.

I found a dealer with comparison videos comparing the Winnebago line to a number of manufacturers including Allegro. It makes for interesting viewing - I don't have an opinion regarding which manufacturers are superior. I drive a "Lazy Daze" and am very happy with it but still like to look and learn about other RVs.
