Parked on the road for lunch; started the generator to heat some stuff. This time I ran the AC and Microwave same time and it tripped the breaker. After much searching I finally found the breaker switch on the generator and reset it. Gen ran fine but no power getting to the coach. Tried many things and eventually made an appointment for repair. A guy in the campground just happened to mention plugging the MH cord back into the MH to get the power to the coach. Darn, I knew that but had just overlooked it. After 3 days, problem fixed and cancelled the appointment. DUMB. I know on some MH's you don't have to plug in; it's automatic but not mine.

Anytime I feel really stupid, I go to Walmart and look at the people. I always come home feeling better.

You so sure it was UNintentionally ๐Ÿ˜‰ lol

Yes we have all seen the antennas left up , how about the manual steps being left down ! DOH guilty as charged !
I was lucky when I pulled over to the curb when someone was pointing at the side of the MH and the step was just high enough it barely scraped the curb. I sure do miss our old electric steps we had on our older MH...

Stupid isn't making an overlooked error. We've all done stuff like that. The other day I was in Home Depot looking or screws and my eyes gravitated to the "green box" of them and I thought "perhaps the organic ones may be good"...... "oh wait"....
4 whopping cylinders on Toyota RV's. Talk about great getting good MPG. Also I have a very light foot on the pedal. I followed some MPG advice on Livingpress.com and I now get 22 MPG! Not bad for a home on wheels.

Interestingly, not 1 of the several RV repair guys I talked with over the phone thought of it either. Sometimes the simplest things are just too obvious.

once i wanted to exercise my generator. Needing to put a draw on the generator, I decided to run the microwave as i knew it draws a lot of power. So I started the microwave, BUT, I forgot that the microwave needs something in, even something as simple as a glass of water. Burned up the microwave and had to replace it.

I backed my truck up once right into my awning! Not sure why I didn't see it, being down and wide open. And I looked right at it before getting in and backing up.....

Yeah we all do dumb things. I have lots more I've done over the years!!

Or ..... sometimes you reverse flush the black tank from it's outside drain not realizing how fast the tank is filling until the DW hollers from INSIDE the coach that yucky brown colored fluid is coming out of the bathroom sink and flowing all over the floor and also down into the power distribution center right next to the sink! ๐Ÿ˜ฎ and ๐Ÿ˜ž and :M and :h

Try driving around town after you washed the truck, dragging 50 ft of garden hose behind you & wondering why everyone is pointing and laughing..

Yep! But on the bright side, my insurance company (Met Life) was kind enough to pay for the damage under my comprehensive plan. So my out of pocket was $500.

Just today, I was checking out my brakes on the trailer to make sure everything is good for our trip this month. No brakes but I have brake lights. Hmmmmm. Checked the fuses, all good. Checked the connection under my truck to the 7 way. Checked fuses, this time with a multi-meter, still good. Checked my new P3 brake controller. It had diagnostics and it showed no voltage when the brake was applied. Turned the gain up and they worked. Sob, I could have saved myself about an hour. At least it was nice outside.
