Anyone looking for a nice used 2013 Roadtrek?

I was at Lazydays in Tucson today looking around, and saw this 2013 190 Rt. Only 10,000 miles, it looked perfect, and had all the options. Talked with a nice sales lady named Jane, and she didn't try to sell me anything. 🙂 I'm sure one could get it for considerably less than the asking price.
No, I have nothing to do with Lazydays, or the Rt.

I was back at Lazydays and talked to Jane about the Rt.
The sale price is 69,900. Contact Jane Welti for more information. 520.203.6000
I'm guessing there is room for negotiations.

Keep us posted.
If you decide to buy it, check the charge in the batteries to make sure there not completely run down, if so, I would try and get new batteries from them. Then run the gen-set for a 1/2 hour or so to make sure it's running smooth.
Even though the Chevy, and Rt warranties are still valid, not so for the appliances, so have them show you that they all work.
I would also get a front end alignment, and oil change. Rt may have different alignment specs than Chevy, so you might want to check with them first.

I was only in it for a few minutes. It had a Wood grained dash, and I think the cabinet where the third seat goes, the sales lady said it had all the options the guy good order. I thought she said the price was $69,000, so the web site could be a mistake. I suggest anyone interested to call and ask Jane Welti.
I was there looking at the new remodeled Lance trailers, so wasn't really concentrating on the Rt.
Nothing dealers do surprise me though.

According to the RT web site, the base price of a new one is about $97K. Add a generator and a few options and you're about $105K.

To be clear, I think it's a pretty good unit, since I have the same model and like it. I'm just surprised that the dealership thinks advertising a used vehicle for more than the MSRP for a new unit (and much higher than the sales price new) is an effective strategy. Perhaps I'm missing something on the options, but I have the full body paint & permanent bathroom, which I thought were among the more expensive options. What else does it have if you remember? Thanks.

EDIT: On further reflection, and after some prompting by other posts, I was misremembering the MSRP on my RT. So the advertised price for this used unit is BELOW the MSRP for a new unit, even if still above the selling price of most of those new units. Sorry if I contributed to any confusion. I also agree with the OP that this would be a good deal IF it could be had at a reasonable price. Just not sure why the dealer starts with such a high advertised price.

Built, and equipped so much better than any thing I have seen on a Promaster. Plus, way more storage, stealthier than a Sprinter, or Ram, and will have a much better chance of passing the HOA requirements. The Chevy drives great, I know I had a Chevy Rt 190 for years.
The older Chevy's, Dodges, Fords still have a place in the Class B society.
Like I said in a previous post. I just posted this in case someone was looking for a "like new" Chevy Rt 190. not to start a debate about what is better.

What you have to consider is that for around $70k, you can get a brand new 2015 Travato that is a much larger van inside. Other Promasters are in the pipeline from Roadtrek and Pleasureway. These will also have similar "final" pricing once you've negotiated your best deal.

So these Chevies are a tough sell in that regard, at high prices aways, unless you need to tow a trailer - they still have the edge in that regard with a 5000 lb tow capacity.

Yes, everyone has made the point of it being priced too high.
I think it could be had in the high $60's. At least that's the feeling I got.
If I was looking, I would try and make a deal.
Another thing, I believe it was purchased new in AZ, no rust to worry about like if it was in some place like NY.

The price is way too high, especially for a 190 two years old - and they don't say if it is a 2013 on a 2013 chassis or a 2013 on a 2012 chassis. It looks like it is in nice condition - but they would have to come down a lot in the price. This is being priced as if new in the current model year.

Not so "Popular" then.

A huge advantage with a private party sale is that you can ask the owner about the vehicle- and judge from their answers and the condition of their home and "stuff" whether they are a straight-shooter or not.

A dealer gives a layer of insulation from that

Mike

It only has 10,000 miles, and 3 years left on the Rt warranty. I really doubt not being able to talk to the original owner would matter in this case, and I have heard some pretty big lies from private sellers, even with nice houses. :R
Asking price doesn't mean selling price.
I doubt a private party B like this one can be found anywhere, much less locally.

I just posted this in case someone wanted a "like new Rt," with every option in the book. They could always make an offer, all the dealer can say is no!

Lazydays always had sky high list prices on used. I think they do so to steer people to buying new. Negotiated with them on one that was listed at $69k and ended (without buying the unit b/c it was still too high) at $47k.
