Are there any class B's that do not look like RVs?

Commercially produced, non-DIY, campers that just look like regular vans?

This came up in another thread, and my first thought was, 'I have never seen one...' but I guess that would be the point!

So, are there any out there, that I am missing?
3/4 timing in a DIY van conversion. Backroads, mountains, boondocking, sometimes big cities for a change of pace.

We couldn't afford hubcaps when building on the cheap. 😉

Thanks for the link to New-West, I was unfamiliar with that brand.

You may want to look at New-West or Safari Condo, both are Canadian based companies (in Quebec)

http://www.safaricondo.com/en/

Not sure if New-West does business with the States, but I know Safari Condo is.

We are not fooled, Davydd by your stealth rv because we know that it has that aircon unit on top and that is to keep the passengers cooler than cool and NOT for Rving. So you can use that argument--until they look inside!! One thing is for sure: no decals on my next rv--a subject which my wife and I disagree on a lot.

Davydd, did I see you on their website discussing your rig? It's about everything I'd like in a B! Well, except for the price...

I've boondocked in it many times, often at a hospital on my way to real boondocking (dispersed camping on BLM or NF). If it weren't red it would be even more unnoticeable (although red turns black in the dark).

But since you get permission from the hospital, why do you care that it's noticeable?

(Sorry. It's a dead horse. I'll stop beating it.)

Because it's quieter. Sometimes I do when I'm moving around but even at most campgrounds (dispersed or otherwise) I put it down at bedtime as it's warmer. When I was in Utah three weeks ago, it was as low as the 'teens overnight. I tend not to travel much in the summers when most others are.

Sorry you're so bothered by what other people do legally but nobody likes to be preached to about what they should do (or not) because *you* don't like it.

So, by the way...if you always get permission, why don't you put up the pop top? Why is it so important to look stealthy?

I love the self-appointed RV police. If I'm not in dispersed camping areas, I always get permission. I've never once overnighted at a hospital that didn't have loads of parking. One doesn't park anywhere near close to entrances; you park at the outer edges, away from employee and visitor parking. If the lot is too small, the hospital has the option of saying no. Of course, I'm out west and no longer have any interest in the east. Maybe things are different in NC but please, don't preach to the rest of us unless you're a federal agent with authority to regulate where RVers park if they have permission.

Apologies for striking a nerve. Of course, where you choose to sleep is none of my business.

However this forum allows for the sharing of opinions.......including mine on the appropriateness of using hospital lots, spaces created and maintained at hospital expense to serve medical personnel, patients and families.

I have always understood why WalMart, Cracker Barrel, Flying J, etc allow or even encourage parking in their lighted lots. They want your business. I understand it is considered the courteous thing to do to purchase something there. Or make a small donation to thank pastors for allowing you to use the church lot.

Maybe you could run in for a quick appendectomy.
