balancing tires

Does the beads work alright in the front tires to balance? They are going to mount the front ones tomorrow, but have no way to balance besides the beads. And the beads come with the new valves. What to do??

I have the beads in the front tires of my International, 22.5" wheels. They work fine, no problems, don't notice anything weird about them at all. They silently do their thing.

I got equal and centramatics on all tires, however I still have some bounce but not bad, the tire installers never put the filters in the stems so I just shoot air into tire before checking pressure, this cleans out the valve stems, balancing large tires and dullies very seldom run smooth.

Well just got back from 1100 mile trip, With the new front tires with the beads, The steering wheel is so smooth you would think you were in your car. Going to put the beads in the back to when I change them, before next trip. The date code on the takeoff's were 2304 now that is pushing it, have 4 new ones coming for the back. And got to try out the dash rebuild from Module Masters, it is nice to be able to read it, the blue background with white letters and numbers is great.

Yes they go in between the duals. Not sure what your application is , but they do make centramatcis for 8 lugs.

I got the front tires changed today, went with the XRV's, 975.00 mounted with the balancing beads. It was the larger beads for use with TPMS systems, said didn't have to change the stems with them. Drove about 10 miles to the garage and was very smooth.

Obviously they did not put the filtered valve stems because if you look at how the valve stem is constructed there is no way the powder can get under the seat. The filter will not allow it.

Got my last set of tires from a truck shop and all they had was Equal bags. They put in the filtered vale stems, however the sand gets into the valves anyway and you need to be careful when checking tire pressure that one doesn't stick open.

Obviously you did not click on the link I gave. Dynabeads makes different size ceramic beads. The smaller ones can be used on automobiles and motorcycles. The RV specific beads ARE larger and will not clog a standard valve core or interfere with your TPMS.
The smaller ceramic beads may balance the tires as well as the larger beads but they do require you to change your valve cores so in the long run it is less expensive to use the correct size beads for your RV.

I did the beads in my DP on all 6 tires, not all that much $$$. Never worried about balance from then on. After sitting a couple months I could feel them balance as we started a trip in the first few hundred feet. Very smooth ride!

All I have used on my coach for thirteen years is Equal powder bags. They have been the best thing I have ever used. Perfect wear on the tread and smooth ride. But you do have to get the proper filtered air valve stems.

Ceramic beads are Ceramic beads, doesn't matter if they are RV specific or not. We used to use 8 oz of Antifreeze. Does the same thing. Rand big trucks (Class 😎 and used beads by the bucket full and they had no particular name brand.

They are putting fronts on tomorrow, will see what kind of beads they use. Iknow the ones they use come with new valve stems. Will order the bigger ones before they do the backs.
