Bathroom roof vent cannot be opened in Winnebago Vista

We own a 2014 Winnebago Vista 31KE purchased from Lazy Days in Seffner, FL.We have repeatedly taken our RV back to Lazy Days(140 mile round trip each time) because the bathroom vent sticks and cannot be opened. Every time they tell me it is fixed, and every time when we get back hone it starts sticking again.

To me, it seems like the entire vent is defective and should be replaced. Has anyone else experienced this ?

Thanks.

Replace it with a Fantastic Fan, a great upgrade.

When my lid was sticking I went up on the roof and opened the lid and felt all around the edges to see why. The lid had a slight rough spot, and as the sun must have got the lid warm enough to maybe kind of twist it, the rough spot would drag on the rubber seal. I took a nail file and smoothed off the rough spot, used some rubber slick lube to the rubber seal. Never had to crawl up there again for a sticky lid. There is always a cause for the lid to stick, find it and fix it.

Same problem on 2013 Itasca 35F. A little force on the crank and it has opened the past 2-1/2 years. Gasket sticks to cover.

Use 303 on the vent rubber. That solves it.

Mentioned before: TRY IT OUT before you leave the dealership.

Also you can use baby powder on all of your inside slide seals.

Since it's the bathroom, should the baby powder be scented?

I have the same issue with my 2014 Vista. I haven't tried to remedy it yet, although I did install a Maxx Aire cover last weekend and plan on leaving the vent open much of the time now.

baby powder a great idea.

Try putting baby powder on the rubber seal that the cover sits on. Most often it is just a case of sticking.

next time you take it in, before you go to the counter go out and try it, they most likely never checked it out.
