Covers. Pros and cons?

I'm considering getting a cover for our 2000 30' Airstream Land Yacht. What are your opinions about this? Is there any downside or reason not to cover the motor home when not in use?

Daytime Running Lights.

All my vehicles have DRLs. On my 2006 RAM 3500 I had to ask the dealer to turn them on via the ECM. My Class C on a 2014 Ford 450 does not have DRLs turned on. Is that something I can do myself? Asking since Ford dealers do not want to touch RVs.
