Several months ago (6-8), I received an email from Bestrvparks.com offering me a free membership card. To prove it was free all I had to do was print the card from the email. I "joined" and received a small 4 x 6 "directory" in the mail (3 months ago). The outfit is small and growing it only had 35 campground members when I joined.

Today I received an email from them offering me a "Travel system" for #39.95, for life. This system has lifetime updates for 250,000 campgrounds, a location for dump stations, contents of "next exit", interstate travel guide, service centers on the interstates, a Walmart OK to stopover guide, golf guide and a truck and travel service guide.

Part of the guarantee is 100% money back if I am not happy before 90 days.

I feel I have been spammed... Did anyone else? Is this company legit?

After I posted the below (actually while I was posting the below), I received a pm from a member here. I hope he does not mind I share his experience but I think all should know his outcome.

"Hi George i call and join. When i got my password to get onto the site .The first thing i did was to call 5 campgroung they had listed. None of them knew any thing about it. I turn around and call the number was listed. The guy told me they would pay any amout it would take to make it cost me 50%. I ask to return the package and he ok to return. It took 10 days to get my credit back on my credit card. Hope this help. We belone to Passport America and its worth the money."

OK, sorry for the misinformation about the 250,000 OWNERS.

Also, the 35 was member campgrounds, not membership.

I do need new glasses but the VA is slow, I'm working on it.

I do like the comment "If their are 250,000 RV pwners how come no ne here has information" (or words to that effect). That is why I asked this question, so I am guessing I should stay away from this right now.

It might be an okay business but if they have 250,000 RV customers why would one of us not be able to speak up for them? Sounds like a lot to spend on an unknown.

You can find out all of that info yourself on the internet for free.

My first red flag would be 'only 35 members'. Second being they do NOT even have a website, just parked their domain name on one. Common practice for scammers.

The email you got was a phishing adventure. Not a good thing to ever click on anything within emails from people you don't know. This is also how emails are hijacked so click that email address to your spam folder.

They got what they wanted when you clicked for the card 'from an email', and that was your email address to sell to advertisers. :W

IMHO do NOT send them any money!

Have you done any basic research on them? I google'd them and can't even find a website, bestrvparks.com is unused.
