black tank safe wet wipes

We all know that you can't use just any old type of toilet tissue in a black tank. The tissue has to be capable of dissolving so that it doesn't plug the tank when you drain the tank. What about wet wipes? Is there such a thing as a wet wipe that is safe to put in a black tank?

Wet wipes a definite no-no, but we use pretty much any toilet paper without issue in our rig.

We have used, "just any old type of toilet tissue," for years and years. Wet wipes - no.

No. I have had room remove my black tank valve twice to dislodge wipes from the valve seat. Not a fun job.

Try pulling a wet wipe apart. Try pulling toilet paper apart. Decide for yourself.

Definitely. No! Son the plumber says...those wet wipes are a pain in the a**!
In a regular toilet, septic or city they clogg up the system. He said nothing but tp that dissolves goes down the chute!

We have a septic system in one of our homes and there is a rule....

The three p's..... PPP (not to be graphic)... pee, poop and paper.... all dissolvable.

Our toilet in the motorhome is a macerator toilet so only dissolvable will work best. Now, if you are connected to a sewer in a campground with a regular toilet then 'maybe' you could use them and just empty the tank as normal. Would the campground like it, I don't know. It depends on their system.

Our desert water agency had a story about the use of wet wipe tissues and said they had to open the pumps to clean them out as they would get stuck in the system.
