Want to visit friends in Montreal who are not RV savvy and need suggestions for nearby campgrounds. Motorhome with dinghy.

Also a vote for Camping Alouette. Also there is an RV repair facility right outside the park. I know. On my last RV I lost a valve stem extension and had them replace the tire. Came out to the RV site to do initial inspection and did prompt service.

Another vote for Camping Allouette. Watch out for pot holes around that part of town.

Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take but rather by the moments that take our breath away.

Camping Alouette is a great spot. Built just like a Snowbird park from down south. Beats any KOA. Lots of Quebecers use that as their summer residence. Nice people, nice park.

We visited a few years ago and stayed at a campground called "Camping Alouette" in Saint-Mathieu-de-Beloeil QC. A very nice campground and easy into downtown Montreal.

We vote also for the KOA. Besides a very nice campground, the staff Is excellent. We had problems with our tow vehicle, leaking front trans seal. Had the truck towed to local Ford service and had to stay extra 4 days and we only had reservation for 1. They took extra care to accommodate our situation. 4 stars in my book.

Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out, shouting "...Holy Cow....what a ride!"

You need 2 books:
1) KOA. If not a member, join up. Well worth it, IMO.
2) Trailer Life Directory. For 9 bucks at Camping World, it simply cannot be beat.
