Just wondering if anyone else has noticed a major price increase on Class A MH's by dealers since our Canadian dollar has tanked 38%? (The banks have been charging 41-42% on credit card purchases).
I was shocked at the asking price for some MH's locally until I compared them to NADA and converted the dollars. As an example, at average retail of around 60K USD my MH is now worth nearly 83k CAD, much more than I paid for it when the CAD was at par.
I've noticed one or two forum members from the north-east US seem to have bought in Canada vice US probably because of the price difference.
Also notice a lot fewer MHs for sale on autotrader.ca
Only 19 used diesel MH's for sale (with listed price, 5 more without price) in the entire province of Ontario - I used to get that locally in Ottawa, even at this time of year.
Great deal for US buyers (since most MH's already meet US specs), but I guess upgrading for me will have to wait a few years now. Makes the DW happy:).
