Had a fifth wheel for years. We will purchase a large Class A and I want to take courses how not only to drive, back, and other operating factors. We are in Alabama but do have wheels will travel. Any suggestions? Oh so many question and short time to get this done! Help! Thanks all.

Lazydays, the largest Dealership in the world, in Seffner, FL offers such and do believe it's free to those who purchase from them.
Give them a call for the particulars and assuming it's still offered.

We took this class last year. Was $150 for the day for 2 of us. We felt it was $ well spent!

If you've been trailering for years you probably don't need lessons. I suggest you rent the largest U Haul truck and drive it around. That will answer your question on whether you need lessons.

X2!!

DW and I both took private lesson with rvschool. Yesterday we split the driving as we do everyday. She drove the mountains without fear. She did not drive the mh until she had the lesson. The instructors have rv specific experience and talk our language. A side but important benefit is we now can guide each other when parking as we have common sign signals we both understand. We both understand tail swing and “using all the real estate. Gen an rv specific private person.

I took a course from a truck driving school. At the time 4 hours with my own rv. Well worth it.

Check with your local school bus company. They may offer a course. At least it will help with the driving part of your Class A.

Look up Good Sam Club, and FMCA. Then locate the chapter in your area and ask them when/where a driving seminar is.

They have driving instruction classes for RV'ers. I've been told you don't actually have to join the clubs to attend their RV driving seminars.

Not sure, but you might check out some of the Truck Driving schools for 18 wheelers.
