Clean Glass

I have been washing our vehicles for over 55 years and I have yet found a product that cleans the glass. I generally use the standard Windex and paper towels and in the shade the glass looks good but take it out in the sun and the glass has streaks and smudges and generally a mess this goes for the moterhome, the boats and the cars and truck. So what do you guys use to get perfect window glass?

If you use the window cleaner in your washer reservoir, why not do the same for the inside. I simply use half windshield cleaner and half water in a bucket. I use cotton towels and use one wet to thoroughly clean and one to dry. If it is really bad, I will do this same procedure twice. Works for me.

I bought two cloths for doing windows. One is for washing with "only water" and the other dries. Absolutley no streaks, spots, just clear windows.

Being a car buff and now with my RV. One clean towel and plain water for washing and one for drying. No streaks, easy work. Sometimes we need to leave the chemicals alone and just get it done. It has been working well for me for years

Try "000" or "0000" steel wool, with glass cleaner, to clean the window, then clean it with glass cleaner. Clean it again with what ever you want. Then give the window a "Rain X", or similar treatment. The steel wool will get the window clean, the rain x will keep it streak free. Works for us. The hard water spots are usually the killers to get off and clean.

My Mother taught me to use a bucket half filled with HOT water with a cupped handful of corn starch mixed in. It will make the water milky.

I wet a rag in it, rub it onto the glass then squeegee it off. I have several different sizes of squeegees that do all of the jobs.

It will make your windows shine!

IMHO, the secret is a good squeegee. Water, vinegar and water, windex, whatever matters less.
Yep.

There is a foam glass cleaner that works very well. Glass shops have/do use it.

If you have white trim around your windows, you will not want to use the newspaper. It will leave your hands and the trim all black.

I use Windex with a sponge first, then just plain water and Paper towels afterwards. Works great for me.

Start with 0000 steel wool. Polish the entire windshield. Use dry. Then invisible glass cleaner with microfiber towel. Then Rain X if heading into winter season. No Rain X for most of the year.
