My 2005 class A cloth ceiling is getting dirty and greasy. How do people remove the grease from the ceiling and generally clean ceiling?

Thanks in advance,
Chuck

Yes. Many times with a Hoover and a Bissell. Works great.

Never understood why manufacturers used cloth for the ceilings in certain RV's, cloth attracts dirt, odor, stains and is a pain to clean.

I always cook with the convection vent running on high and the fantastic vent on high and the window by the stove fully open to help exhaust the heated greases that go airborne. Works very well.

I cleaned a small water stain from a roof vent with bleach water and oxy clean with good results.

Be careful not to soak the area, the glue that the carpet is attached to ceiling will come thru and can not be cleaned.

I have used the upholstery attachment from on carpet cleaner on the cloth ceiling of our motorhome. The results were fine. It's been about 5 years since I did it last and it is now on the "To Do" list for this Spring.

I'll be anxious to hear if there are any other ideas.

I have also read that you should not saturate or get it extremely wet as the adhesive will let it loosen and sag.

I've had good results using Woolite carpet cleaner, "Oxy Deep". Use a sponge and then blot with white towel. Looks even better after it dries.

Can't rub the material too much, it will start to fuzz.
