Electrical plug

I have a 2015 E450 Class C Chateau that has a plug sticking out of the dash between the bottom of the dash and engine cover right below the radio. Does anyone have one or know what it is? I’m the second owner and original owner didn’t know what it was either. They only had it about 3 years and barely used it and knew very little about anything about the coach. So no help there. Manufacturer says they think it’s for plugging in an external navigation system.
Any idea Since?

And the Model 4 whatyamaycallit, at that.

Yes: let's see a picture or two. Then we can speculate with more precision.

could be the plug for the backup camera adapter as well, have install them at the ford dealer ship.. allows for backup camera to display on the radio screen

Got a reply from Thor and they say it has to be part of the chassis wiring harness so I’m going to take it to a ford dealership, I also went to an RV dealership this morning and looked under dash of othe Class C E 450 and tucked under was the same plug so it has to be part of the chassis wiring

I just pulled out my connector on my 2017 E450 and it's a USB port for a thumb drive.

our 12 has a old style cell/laptop connector thqat sticks out in the location you indicate. Not real useful unless either change out or get an adapter for the newer micro plug (available in bigger electronic stores like fry's).

Does the cable look like a phone cord?

I also believe it's where you plug the brake controller in.

Don’t jump to conclusions....

It could well be the connection for the thingamajig.

It could also be the port for the Schindler shaft interface with the sport flange transmogrifier.

A picture would go a long way. Shot's in the dark aren't very productive.

Nope not a brake controller and it doesn’t look like the one I the link you provided. Thor says its probably for an external navigation system but not sure.
