Generator 110 question

Not sure if giving details will help with this question but, I have an Onan Microquiet 4.0 with 2 12 volt coach batteries.
Question is; I tried to turn my TV on with the Gen running and no current, is it normal because of the load running only AC and lights to NOT have the 110 attached to the Generator or am I missing something ?

How about forgetting to disconnect the hose or power cable before pulling out? I have seen that many times as well.

This one was mine. It was the power cable.

My funniest bonehead was when I decided to clean my black tank. I dropped a bunch of laundry detergent in the tank and used a sprayer wand to agitate it. Then I proceeded to fill the tank. I was standing right under the vent pipe and a guy walked up and we started talking. I forgot all about the water pouring in to the toilet! Next thing I know brownish soap suds start dropping on my head! The other guy's jaw dropped! I looked up and soap suds are pouring out the vent stack.

I ran inside and stopped the water just at the edge of the rim of the bowl! Did not help that I had a head full of brownish soap suds and the other guy could not stop laughing.

Well I fall in the antenna up group. Solved that by giving the TV to DD.

The visual I got from reading this had tears running down my face. Thanks for a good laugh!

Just today I pulled the rig forward to adjust level after the ground under it sank in the rain. I forgot to unplug my trickle charger and the tire ran over the cord and pulled it out of the exterior outlet, damaging the cover.

Pulled off and forgot to unlock the steering wheel on the toad. Scraped the tires when they turned in the opposite direction of travel... worst part is I have done this TWICE!

And who has not forgotten to lower the antenna before pulling out? I have done that at least twice. Damaged it the last time and now I hang a paper on the visor when I put it up so I do not forget. When I was hosting I saw that one all the time!

How about forgetting to disconnect the hose or power cable before pulling out? I have seen that many times as well.

Saw someone drag their sewer hose out of the park once.

Even read a newspaper article where a guy left the Mrs. at a rest stop and the Highway patrol had to flag him down to go back and get her. He thought she was in the back of the rig when he pulled out.

I have seen people forget to properly latch their fiver pin and drop the rig on the bed of the truck.

Have seen people try to drive off with the wheel stabilizer jack still in between the trailer wheels.

Should I keep going or do you feel a little better now knowing you are not the only one that makes mistakes sometimes? 🙂

You are not the first and WILL NOT be the last to make a mistake like that. Anyone on these forums saying they never made a "bonehead" is telling tall tales.

Don't fret it... just stuff that happens. I could talk for a few hours about all the "boneheads" I have pulled in my life. Best thing is to consider it a learning experience and just press on!

AC is working. blew a fuse last week on the panel but replaced.
So the Generator should be running all 110 outlets right ?

If you are getting the 110VAC for the A/C...(lights are 12VDC system), then you are probably getting the power from the generator, so it may be a tripped breaker or even the GFI outlet in the bathroom that may have tripped.
Check to see if you are getting voltage at these outlets.
If the A/C is not working, then you could very well have a problem with the transfer switch, the generator, or how you have the system set up (as mentioned above, some units require you to plug the shore power cable into an outlet from the Genset).

Good luck
