What can I do to fix the cover that covers the engine so it doesn't blow hot air and burn my legs. I have a 2001 coachman Aurora class A

My 2004 coachmen did the same thing...never could cure it I used a small 12 volt fan to blow the air and that helped

I agree with the last post. Radiating heat can be prevented with insulation. But heat that is just plain blowing in needs to get sealed. Cover loose? Seal missing? Hole there that shouldn't be? I would get that figured out before going after insulation etc.

If there is hot air coming from the engine compartment then you have a leak thru the seal of the engine cover. I would want to get that fixed as quickly as possible as that could also allow engine fumes to engine the vehicle.
If the engine cover is getting hot from the engine and then that heat is burning your legs then as others suggested you'll need some type of reflective insulation to stick to the inside of the engine cover.

They mean DynaMat
But that seems to be mostly a sound deadener with some heat reducing capabilities.

Dyna Mate..... Install on the underside of doghouse or motor cover and it will stop the heat and noise.

Or if money is no object, buy a DP! Then just the bed will be hot. (No further comment on that.) :B

Is the dog house plain or does it have a built in on it. If plain place a throw rug on it after you have done other steps above.

Some people have made air dams too bring cool air up to the area below the doghouse.

Add heat insulation to engine side of cover
Replace worn out seal on lip of cover
Is it time for your medication or mine?
