HELP! View/Navion stuck between V and G model?

Any feedback appreciated. I think we have narrowed the long and winding search down to a 2015 View/Navion. So much more counter space in the G model, love the cabinet in the bathroom and the larger kitchen window. The V hands down, I love the twin beds. We haven't always had our best sleep on RV queens, particularly after sleeping on a king at home.

Husband is tapping his foot while I decide. I don't no where we would put the coffee pot on the limited counter space in the V? Ugg.

Any pointers?

Have received some really impressive quotes, and we are ready to get back on the road ๐Ÿ™‚

Really wouldn't have noticed it from looking at the floor plan, but was bowled over walking back and forth between the two.

This is the G, with larger window and more cabinets:

We had the forerunner to the G model, the IQ DL. It had the rear slideout queen, 2 piece mattress, but not the side slide. Where the current side couch is in the G, ours had a dinette.

We would never, ever buy an RV again with a slide that had our bed in it. Fooling with that 2 piece mattress every time we wanted to move the unit in the morning, we had to take down the bed, slide it in, then WA-LA, no bed in the RV to take a nap in when stopped at a rest stop or whatever. ALWAYS have to put the slide out.
Whenever it was windy, the wind would grab the slideout awning and flap it, which would vibrate and shake the entire bed area. Rain was noisy on that awning also.
Our choice would be the V. We could figure out where to put the coffee pot, not to have to fool with that slide every morning and evening.
Not that we weren't happy with the unit's quality, but I'd take the advice from above of looking at Leisure Travel models also. They have a better quality interior albeit a bit more expensive, and harder to find nowadays. Much better resale value if that matters....

I'll throw this in there also. We've had 2 Sprinter RV's now, and won't buy another. Expensive service and parts, if you have someone else do it. Hard to find service and can't always say when you find it, they are competent. If you are out west, say west of Kansas City, unless you are near a larger city, dealer service is hundreds of miles away. Finicky, confusing HVAC controls. Both of ours have required more than one service visit to fix issues with this. There's more but I won't complain any longer.... Good luck

Thanks for input, also the much larger windows and three extra deep drawers in G kitchen are nice. I LOVE the bed setup in V model, just hope I don't regret it if I ever want to put a juicer, small crock pot or anything on the counter later "down the road", ha no pun intended. It is zero space in between the sink and cook top in new V and I think they eliminated flip-up counter piece. I'll see if I can add photos for anyone else stuck in same "head scratch" that I am. We've tried out showers in both, driven it, love that they added a foot for 2015, so now all just boils down to making up mind. I want the front of the G and rear of the V, ha ha.

When we got into our first Class C, I wanted a bed that didn't have to be made up and torn down every day. The cabover bed provided that. We decided we didn't want to climb up/down anymore so we went rear bed in a larger C. Just me, but I think I'd opt for the fixed bed(s) version. If our first C had that small corner bed in the rear I think we would have kept it, but for us there's nothing nicer than an arrangement where one can get in/out and not disturb the other.

We have a 2015V View Profile and we love it. It is a little short on counter space but with the swing up we work around it. We only drink a cup of coffee each a day so we went with a small drip coffee maker. I believe it is a 4 cup size. We really like the beds made up all the time and if we want can make a king out of the bed. I sure don't have any problem with the quality of mine like a previous poster stated.

I looked at the Leisure travel van and looked for the model Freedom Serenity II and don't see such a model. Personally I don't like the model, when you have dinette set up you have lost the use of the cab seats for additional seating. When were set up we can swivel both cab seats around and use them without having to mess with our table in front of the sofa. I also like having someplace besides the dinette seating to relax. Our TV is directly across from the sofa and can be moved to give viewing from all seating areas.

I'll stick with my 24V. IMO

We've pondered the same two models for whenever the day comes that we decide to go with something larger than our B. (Glad owners are weighing in, because I, too, want input.) I am sure I'd enjoy either one but think the V would be my preference.

We talked at length with friends who love their V layout. They pointed out that you can make up the twin beds and leave them that way, handy for naps without needing to extend a slide. They ordered some custom fitted sheets from an RV linen maker and found some quilts in a store that look great. I also like the nightstand in the center. They also showed us the easy access storage below each of the twins.

I have not yet seen this in action, but from what I understand, the G layout queen mattress at the back slide is in two parts, so that the back section (where your heads/shoulders rest) folds down inward when the slide is in. So you then have to re-arrange the bedding when extending or retracting the slide.

In our current Class B, we have fixed twins and like having that aisle down the center.

As far as the galley, I agree about the limited counter space, though I'm used to a tiny galley with a cupboard where the coffee maker is stowed in between uses. I guess the coffee maker would have to sit on the covered sink or stove burner area while in use.

Looks like the bathroom cabinet makes for a smaller shower. If you plan to use the shower make sure you get in the showers of both models and move around as you would want to when using it.

We got the 2014 V because of the rear bed, which has lots of room for both of us and our dog. We really lke not having to make up the bed before having breakfast. Counter space is a little tight, but the fold up counter helps. We are also thinking of using a French press for more room.
