Hi,

Has anyone added smart safety gear to their Class A? Things like Blind Spot Monitoring, Lane assist warning, collision warning, etc.

If so, I would appreciate hearing about the type, did you do the install yourself. and how does it work.

Huh, last time I was in CA most seemed driverless anyway, just like CO 🙂

I can't make up my mind if driverless cars will be better or worse...There are some people driving here who are mindless.

I think the 360 degree view camera systems (used on buses) would be a neat addition...

What I would really like is something that would identify and warn me about deer and other wildlife and not so wild life that pose a risk of running out into the traffic lane.

Yes, it needs the lanes to be marked. From the instructions (I haven't installed it yet) there doesn't appear to be a calibration step. It has voice response and, I think, can be turned on/off that way. But I'm not sure.

Yes. A camera watches the lane dividers and the solid side lines. On roads where these are absent, you drive into the woods.

My Garmin Dash Cam 55 is supposed to have lane departure warning and forward gap warning (approaching slower or stopped vehicle too fast). My first trip with it will be next month.

The simplest and likely the best thing you can add is a second outside mirror on the left and right.
