How many of us are there? Owners of Dodge based RV's?

I'm new here, and curious.

How many of us in Class C own Dodge B300 incomplete
cab/chassis based RV's? I know two others- Steve aka
Ripsaw, with a 1977 Brougham, and Leroy aka 1978_Dodge
_Delta who owns a 440V8 powered sharp looking 1978
Delta RV. I would like to ask, and offer, help, idea
swapping and comparing notes on our particular RV's
which are based on the Dodge B300 van chassis.

Yeah, I know. These are low tech, podgy old RV's that
would be considered "entry level" for folks like me,
but I have a deep and abiding respect for the quality
of these old "monsters of the open road". And anyone
wanting to pick brains, joke about, share notes or just
brag about our old A- Dodge-io's are certainly welcome
to PM or email me. Between all of us we can form a real
good support group, and help each other with problems
we know we'll encounter with an older vehicle.

Sure. I'd love a new RV. But I'd rather have an older
one already paid for, and a lotta great memories. Call
me frugal, an old hippie, or whatever you will. I'm proud
of my old land yacht.

Mark aka White Knight

P.S. Mine's a '72. Is there an older one out there someone's
motorvating in? Maybe even a Travco? W/K

That is hot.

I have to ask -- did you paint the brown on the hood and around the doors, or did it come like that?

Ugh...sorry ๐Ÿ˜ž

We had lots of good intentions, but it was Code Red here all weekend (88ยบ with 84% humidity Sat, 96ยบ with 58% humidity Sun) and hid in the house instead. We did drain the fuel from the middle and rear tanks (and fill up my cars with it!) so we can replace fuel filters and check the sending unit, but we just didn't get any further.

Thanks, Big John.
Tomorrow morning I will begin the process of getting my money back.

At one time, I worked for a company with similar delivery / order issues. How they are still in business is a good question. Yes, they "appeared" professional, also.
Looks can be deceiving....

Hi Johnny

Do you mean you need a new cable to operate the parking brake? You can have the existing one repaired at a shop. Even a motorcycle shop should be able to help you.

If the cable is rusted in the housing, there are ways to loosen it. I even heard about soaking it in Coca Cola for a few days...

Hi Guys !
need some advice.
I have a 1976 Landau M500 on a dodge chassis. The parking brake is a driveshaft type and it doesn't grab. Do they still make parts for these brakes ? need a new wire

My wheels.

I got this 69 Travco with split rims that really need replaced --or will, might as well do it now. Why buy 14 tires when 7 will do?

On May 1st, I ordered 7 solid rims from Stockton Wheel.
Website said they were 139 ea, raw steel. OK.
Nope, Stockton says they are 164. ea, painted + 34.50 shipping each.
Then Stockton said "$25 fee just 'cause."
Then Stockton said "pre-paid."

On May 2d, I gave Stockton Wheel (through the dealership, who is NOT at fault for any of this) $1461-and-change.

Stockton's salesman (Frank) said "4 to 6 weeks" that same day.
Not happy, but hey, I understand they probably don't have 6-bolt Travco rims just laying around.

Wednesday, June 4th,Randy (tire dude) called me.
I was delighted, figured my wheels had come.

NOPE.

Stockton said "another month."

I am NOT happy.
