How to power off residential fridge

I just took our MH in for repairs. Will probably take a week. Emptied the residential fridge as the mh will not be plugged in or generator used. I think I need to shut off the fridge but I don't know how. I cannot get to the rear of unit due to it's installation. I shut off the main coach switch in the battery compartment but power still remains on the fridge. I really want the fridge off so it won't run down the batteries. I'll call Thor tomorrow but figured one of you out there knows how to do this. Thanks!

1. TURN OFF THE INVERTER! There is NO reason to have the Inverter ON when in for service. Leaving the Inverter ON will just cause your coach batteries to go dead in a few days.
2. Most Residentials have a specific sequence for completely turning them OFF. The reason is simple, IF you had to turn the refer ON each time you powered the RV up, then in a 120 power Interuption, you would ALWAYS have to make sure you turned the refer back ON to prevent food spoilage. SAME concept for your HOME refer.
3. You usually have to push at least 2 buttons and hold for so many seconds to turn the refer OFF.
4. READ the refer owners manual, it will tell you how to turn it OFF and ON. BUT, this is a foreign concept for lots of people especially RV owners:S Doug

^^^^ This.

OP,
BTW, you say you cannot get to the plug. Did you completely seal the outside vent? Though somewhat sealed, I can take out some insulation so I can get to the back of mine.

Well, I'm sure you already investigated this but I have a on/off control on the exterior buried (very small) in the controls around the water/ice dispenser.

Unplug it. Mine runs off the inverter and who knows what the shop technicians will be turning on. They usually need the fridge to keep their beer cold...:)..Oh! and be sure to leave some fresh water in the tank for the toilet flush.....Dennis
