Insurance Cancelled

Has anyone who is insured thru Triumphe Casualty Co. or National Interstate been cancelled? I had insurance thru National Interstate and they transferred me over to Triumphe a few years back. The letter states that National Interstate will exit the "Personal lines insurance market". They state that this is a business decision and not my insurability. The agent is Explorer Insurance Agency.
I have been paying a premium for years for full replacement coverage. I have had very few claims.
They recomend Safeco. What insurance do any of you recommend?
I have until May to choose a new company.
Let me know what you think.

Thanks

I had Foremost for years and had no issues with them but moved up to a CLASS A last year. I have three cars and a house with Liberty Mutual so I naturally wanted to go with them since I get a discount from work but was told Liberty Mutual doesn't insured MHs but one of there companies, SAFECO does though it wouldn't honor the discount. Not happy but price was competitive. I had no claims, yet and they seem to be on top of things.

I am with Nationwide on my RV.. assorted reasons I've been with 'em some years but when last I checked they said I was better off to stay put.

Was with Liberty Mutual on the car.. but they rasised the rates so now I'm with Progressive, LM offers "Full replacement plus" for cars. Don't know about RV's. I also do not know if Progressive offers that since my car I have 2000 deductable on

Which is to say I paid 2,000 for it used when I got it some years back and it no longer owes me anything.. Still runs good. It is a 2001 Dodge.
Home was where I park it. but alas the.

after a semi "nicked" it. Still have the radios

Be a good boy and they won't.... maybe.:Z

My view of insurance is a big Ponzi scheme with the insurance company pulling off a good percentage so they can live a lavish lifestyle while you pay for it.

Useing your view of Insurance Co., I am sure you don't mind so many Co.s getting out of the RV coverage business. Maybe the Gov. will declare all of them Ponzi schemes and no one will get coverage for their RV's.

i’m curious as to how you would describe loyalty to long term customers? we’ve been state farm customers since 1970 and my folks had their auto insurance with SF for as long as i can recall. when i call i get a human in my agent’s office; my email queries are answered; the few claims we’ve had over the years have been handled quickly and fairly. what more can you ask?

I can ask for and receive the same service as you obviously expect, but at the best price possible, as well.
Actually, when switching to Allstate this last time around, not only did I save some money, but have probably received even better service. Now next time around, I may even end up with SF or Progressive again, to name a couple and have came full circle before. Now, why is it that when one's long term loyal company refuses to better or match a new offer, they'll let you walk and then with some years later, do you even better, when asking them for a quote?
You may want to test SF and their loyalty to you, by getting some quotes from others and see if they'll at least match it and assuming it's lower than your paying now...TOP TEN COMPANIES There's another thing with longevity and that's with vehicle depreciation and especially with RV's. Seems that once there's a value on your rig, it stays there, year after year and no matter how old it gets. Just look at your premiums year after year and for seeing if the rates are going up or down.
As for getting quotes, some find this lead useful, for cutting through the chase... QUOTE WIZARD

I have Safeco on my car and travel trailer. I am really pleased with their rates. I have more coverage than I had with State Farm and the premiums are lower.

Well, just shop around like everyone should do every two or three years. In fact I'm convinced that anyone that has been with any one company for 5yrs or more is paying too much. New customers always get the best deal, as with your cable company, your Dentist....etc...etc.
I was with others before last being with State Farm and now with Allstate, so we'll see how long they continue with wanting to remain competitive. I have no brand loyalty with anything or anyone and it's apparent that they don't have any loyalty to their long term customers, either.

We've been with National Interstate for 8 years as full timers. I knew that they were getting out of personal insurnce since last November from other forums. We got our notice in Febuary that we would not be renewed. NI handed us off to another insurer. Our agent contacted us and said that that insurer did not give full coverage for full timers. She placed us with Progressive that gave us coverage to what we had with a price compatable to what we were paying. All is good.

I've had very good experience with Acuity for home insurance. I believe they offer RV coverage. It's worth checking into.

X2 on that. we've been with State Farm since 1970 and have had our motorhomes insured with them since we began this RV thing in 1986. a few claims here and there. but shop around or have your insurance broker do the shopping for you. just remember....all companies will be eager to take your money. what counts is what happens AFTER the sale.
