Levelers/Stablizers

I notice that most of the entry level, read lower priced A's do not have levelers or any type of stablization, does this present a problem with rocking and swaying when someone moves about? I am specifically interested in the stability of the Thor Axis. My previous experience in 34' 5er and my 300 pounds lead me to various stabilizers. Perhaps the shorter length will limit the rocking.

Yes you will feel the coach moving on the suspension when someone is moving around in the coach. The mover won't feel it but everyone else will. You can level with various methods under the wheels but without something directly supporting the chassis frame to the ground the coach will bounce on the suspension.

I'm the second owner of my coach which came from the factory without jacks, levelers or other type of stabilization hardware. First two years of ownership if I was parked for more than three nights I would use 12 ton jack stands and a matching bottle jack to level and stabilize the coach. Have since add a four point hydraulic system.

Most Class A motorhomes that have any slide will usually come with some type levelers. NO slide and they usually do not come with levelers. The OEM's have noticed and customers noticed that with NO levelers, the RV's leaned to the side with the slide extended. Doug

Levelers are a good thing to help level the mh. However, some don't do a lot in keeping the thing from rocking. They are called levelers.

yes you will feel alot of rocking without any type of stabs. I would invest in some scissor stabs. You can see if you can special order the "AXIS" that you like with levelers. THOR is huge, and a big part of THOR driveables come standard with LCI (Lippert) 4 point hyd. levelers. I would bet your dealer would be happy to special order one for you.

You can have an LCI added, but I found the add on systems tend to be more troublesome. I would either add scissors to the one you are looking at, or special order a new unit.
