Leveling the RV

Hello. I have a 1996 Monaco Dynasty and other than just using the level bubble that came with the RV what are some other methods to ensure the RV is level from front to back? How do I test that the level bubble that is beside the driver's seat is working correctly? Thank you in advance.

I usually use my levelers manually from the drivers seat. Rather than getting up and down to check levels, I use a marble on the wooden drawer that sits between the two seats. When the marble stops rolling the levels are pretty darn close.

Stove top! Years ago on these forums someone said to level the stove top... if that is level, everything else is fine. Really annoying to try and cook eggs that keep sliding to one side of the fry pan.

When we first got our TT, I leveled it in the driveway using a level on the stovetop and then put stick-on level indicators on the front and side corner of the outside of the TT. Someplace easy to see when pulling into the campsite. I recheck every year or so, but so far so good!

If the stove top is level but the refrig is too far out of level to run correctly, then something else is really wrong with your camper!

I have a small level that I place on the tile part of the floor and on the counter.

After I use the dash levels and check the refer level I open the bathroom door half way and see if it stays there.

You do not need to be perfectly level for the fridge to operate efficiently. If you are comfortable so is the fridge.

I used one of those blinking light level indicators to set the coach but most times will eye ball to fine tune if I want. Finding a flat true surface in the coach to use as a master level reference can be difficult but fortunately you do not need a high degree of accuracy for the various mechanical systems to operate. I've intentionally off set the coach a few times to get the A/C to drain the direction I wanted.

As for the refrigerator being level, as long as the coach is level enough for comfortable living, it's close enough according to both Dometic and Norcold.

yep, I got the bottom of the freezer compartment level, then smushed my bullseye level into silicone seal on the console until it also read level, then just used that for future leveling.
