Biggest benefit of jacks is not the leveling but the stabilization. RV doesn't shake whenever someone rolls over in bed.

My 28-year-old RV came with hydraulic jacks. They are awesome.

Fairly new to Class C after a 5er. Thing is the duallies on the back need wide levelers to get both tires on, so it is easier to park so the front needs the levellers.

A tire pamphlet goes on about making sure the tire is sitting properly on whatever you used to gain height, so the back tires can't use one of those single tire-width three step levellers, you would need two for each side at the back.

I am interested in those plastic three step ones because of that sliding problem when they are wet noted above when using pieces of wood.

I got the rig level using a 2 foot level (have to pick a spot because the whole rig is not level with itself ๐Ÿ™‚ ) and put a bubble on the front dash and one on the driver's side door. That way, I can see while still sitting there if I have it level or not.

I use the plasic blocks when required. I have a bubble level and we use the kitchen counter as a reference -- shifting the RV is the first choice.
Worst problem we had was a paved site that was so slippery the blocks slid in front of the wheels.

We had the Lippert Ground Control TT Leveling System installed on our 35' Crossroads TT a couple of months ago and albeit, costly; it was well worth it for us. We had 43' Cyclone Toy Hauler with the 6 point Level Up system and got spoiled with it. The Ground Control TT isn't as stable as the Level Up was but it sure beats using blocks or Lynx Levelers or anything like that. I did use the Anderson Levelers for a short while on this rig and was quite pleased with them. Just my .02 cents worth.

I have been using 4 x 4s and 2 x12s for 15 years.

I don't use levels. I can pretty much "Feel" level from the drivers seat.

If the wife doesn't agree, we swing the freezer door and/or the micro-wave door. They'll point to a low corner.

I also use the Lynx levelers. Never had one break. I've used them on my 2 32' C's and will use them on my 27' C.

For the rear tires I use this: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00T36KG42/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I spin them around so both tires in my rear dual configuration can ride up at the same time.

I also use Hosspads under my hydraulic levelvers; I don't like making my levelers extend a great deal so I get close to level w/ my blocks, and let the levelers finish the job nicey nice.

I use the Lynx levelers, but unlike IAMICHABOD, I don't have a lot of problems with them breaking, except for the couple that I broke through my own fault.

We just purchased our used 30' last year. So far been using the lego blocks with some extra wood planks.

Have been looking into putting Lippert scissor jacks on it, but the rep said that it would not work. That they could only be used for stabilizing. Doesn't make sense to me. Each jack can lift 5000 pounds. Why would you need that kind of lift just to stabilize? Can anyone explain it to a newbie?

Like Drew E - I carry some wood planks. Inexpensive, works every time, and I also use them as DIY ramp to lift my car for oil changes.

I have installed levels to tell me how much I need to raise each corner and I carry several 2 x 8 pieces of wood to drive up on. Easy to use.

Had Big foot levelers installed. Have had them on our A for over 20 years. So had them put on our C also.

I have a collection of various lengths of PT 2x10 ramps (cut with angled ends) that I stack as needed. They are inexpensive and easy and sturdy, but not particularly lightweight or compact to store.

I aldo constructed a little ruler calibrated to go with a beam level that shows how many layers are required to be level. One side is for left to right leveling, the other for front to back. Making it involved some math (ratios in similar triangles, basically, which works out to the height of a ramp scaled by the ratio of the length of the level and the wheel track or wheelbase of the motorhome.)
