Motorcycle trailer for Class C

I just bought my first Class C RV (Bigfoot). Drove from CA to NC by myself! Yay and made it no issues.

I have a Vespa 300 (350 lbs) and a Townie bicycle (35 lbs) so togther lets round up to 400 lbs of weight for both and I would like to haul both with me. I need help in figuring out what to purchase and what would be the best and easiest loading on/off scenario for me. I wanted the LIFT type but I'm afraid its too much weight for the RV. Anyone have good recommendation for what to use? Any thoughts on light weight trailers? My fear is that the trailer will be bouncing all over the road.

I used an Aluma MC10 motorcycle trailer for years. Not as easy to store as a Kendon (which I also had) but much easier to load/unload with its built in ramp.

you want the ultimate mx rack, but not the one held on the bottom like a dirt bike. This one lowers the whole rack to the ground.U drive over it, tie up the scooter, jack it up, put in the pin. That simple. Safe. NO worries about problems loading.I've seen it cheaper elsewhere

I'm sure that wheelbarrow tire will do just fine at 80 mph in 100deg temps for 10 hours straight....noooo problem! LOL

I have a thor 24u and carry a dual sport 320 lbs ktm 625sxc bike on back hitch rack. I use a ultimate mx rack similar to the motojack. It uses hooks to hold the foot pegs of the bike secure, and lifts from the bottom of the bike. Very secure. Once bolted on bike stays on, no matter the tough road. Anything that can damage the attachment of the bike to the rack would be so severe a force a trailer would be broken severely as well, some major collision. This company also makes a ladder type that lowers to ground so not a finger off angle trying to get it on rack. I've run a cover on the bike tightly bungee cord to it for weather, sun protection on long runs, and a thick cable lock to deter thieves which attaches to the rack and came with it. I have trailored as well, enclosed and carried a rzr. , bikes. Much, much prefer the rack. Goes on, stays on. No worries what's happening in the trailer. Dont even feel it from motorhome

I have a an enclosed trailer I use as well as a homemade lift. I feel more comfortable on the road with my bike in the trailer but the lift is nicer once I arrive at the campsite. Mine is on my 5th wheel. My bike is about 800 lbs.

I have and use both a trailer and a rack. Here's my take:

Rack-
Plus: Easy to use. No speed restriction (CA trailer 55MPH max). No fuss backing up.
Neg: Exposed to elements, less secure (theft), affects handling
Tips: Get one with a channel, not the ladder type. To ease loading, use a long ramp or load from a curb.

Cargo Trailer (enclosed)-
Plus: contents are out of sight and out of the elements. Can carry more stuff, gas can, BBQ, bicycles etc. Tows easily. Can be used at home to store same items.
Neg: Backing is tricky, should have a backup camera, small trailer cannot be seen while towing. Another set of wheels/tires to care for (do get a trailer with full size 15" wheels). Speed restriction for trailers in some states.
Tips: do not get a cheap HF trailer. Install a bike chock and tie down eyes.

How much do moto cross weigh on average?

I liked the Moto JAck Rack but it looks like they are lifting the bike "onto" the rack not driving it up onto the rack. Am I wrong here?

I am trying to figure out to post a picture of the Vespa on here but have yet to figure out to post a pic on this blog. Dag!

I had a Honda Big Ruckus. 380#. I used the motorcycle carrier shown earlier and adapted it to a wheelchair platform lift.

Since the scooter was so tail heavy I added a support to futher stabilize it.

I could not identify any negative effect on the handling of my Sprinter.
I have since upgraded to a 500# motorcycle and have outfitted a 4x8 trailer to haul it. The trailer is aluminum and easy to roll around when empty. I did upgrade the axle to non-metric and replaced the tires with 80 mph rated.

Actually I do that very thing. I stand beside the machine and with one hand on the throttle and the other on the brake I inch it on.
