Mystery Switch

Have a 2003 Fleetwood Bounder 35R on F53 Chassis. I have a mystery rocker switch on left drivers shelf, between the rear view mirror controller and the cup holder, Has a headlight logo on it but it isn't for that as those are on the front dash. I can't find out what it does or, for that matter, what it's supposed to do. I looked at the Fleetwood user manual as well as the Ford manual, and can't find a thing.

My Southwind has three similar switches: 1. Fog lights; 2. Driver side compartment lights master switch; and 3. Under hood light. All have a "headlight" type emblem on them, just at different angles.

I'll guess it's for foglights that are not installed. Does it have wires running to the back of the switch?

I have two guesses. #1 turns on the outside mirror heaters.
#2. Fog lights but only works with the low beam head lights. Give it a try. Hard to tell if the mirror heater, I guess feel the mirror with your hand and feel if it gets hot

Could also be nothing hooked to it. My DP has 12 volt fans in the front and power sunshades. On a similar model that didn't come with those items, the switches were still there, but were hooked to nothing.

Our 96 Fleetwood Southwind has a similar switch. It works the fog lights mounted in the front bumper.

I have something similar on mine and I think it turns on an electric defroster in the outside mirrors. Or maybe it is the ejector seat switch described by Oasisbob.

O that. Well it is no longer offered as an option for unknown reasons. It is an ejector seat activator for the passenger side. No obviously not. Sorry

Could it be the on off switch for your compartment lights or an outside work light near the water inlet and/or waste area.
