I took mine to the dealer this weekend, about 75 miles altogether, they all were at 80 psi and no doubt the Coach was smoother riding. Tracked very well, I'm very happy. I still can't believe I'm saying they were smoother riding, but it's true.

I got all my tires replaced today with the M/S2 tires.
I love FREE tires.

As someone else mentioned (I think), I noticed a smoother ride right away.
The dishes in the cabinets didn't rattle as much as they did on the way to the tire store when I hit a small bump.

Have not been on the highway yet.

I am very happy with them. ๐Ÿ™‚

A couple of things.
1. Yesterday I went to check out my RV and do the monthly generator running. While there I checked my tires. The two front tires had the date code 2012. Week 20 year 12, so they fall within the date range. I purchased the tires at Alban Tire in Springfield VA. They said to bring the RV when I could and they would put new MS2s on. Balancing is included, no fees.

2. I received written notice today from Michelin that there was a tire recall on tires I purchased.

3. The written recall did not say how many tires I purchased are recalled. I stopped checking after the second tire. I will look at the others when I take all the tire covers off and drive over to Alban Tire.

Discount Tire pumped ours up to 80 when new. I had to figure out to lower the pressure according to the weight etc. on the Michelin site. Pretty much matched the Winnebago door sticker too.
I got the recall letter yesterday. Our RV is not only in snow, it is in a different state. The letter still says to check the DOT code which of course I can't do until the end of the month. If ours qualify, I would like an alignment. We didn't get an alignment because Discount Tire said they didn't do them. Is it common to have to go to a different dealer for alignments?
We only bought 4 so we should probably buy 2 more to have all new. Really 3 more I guess since we didn't replace the spare. The front tires were on the RV when we bought it in 2009 but they were new then so it is almost time to replace them anyway.

Just in case one doesn't know, Discount Tire and American Tire are one in the same. They just go by different names in different states.

By the way, whenever I get new tires from Discount Tire, and the Michelins were just replaced, the air pressures are NEVER correct. The guys do a good job, but they just dial in the pressure on their compressor panel and assume it's OK. It isn't. I don't think their unit goes up to 80psi. Just a word to the wise.

Got my tires replaced at American Tire yesterday. the manager told me I had to pay for install and balancing. I told him the Michelin hot line told me it was all covered under the recall. He got on the phone to call Michelin to confirm and, according to him, they confirmed I need to pay for instal1 and balancing and that Michelin would not reimburse them for that. I questioned him again and he said he would eat the cost. When i got home, i called the hot line again, and sure enough, install and balancing was included. SOOOOO, don't let a store charge you for the service. The hotline number is 800.231.5893.

I finally fished my receipt out from the 6 tires I had a warranty adjustment on last February. Looks like I get $379 for the 20% of the tire cost not covered, $99 for the mounting and balancing, and a new spare, as that was not replaced and is included in the recall.

I didn't read all 7 pages, so forgive me if I'm repeating things already said: the tires we bought last year for our "C" are part of this recall. When I tried to use Michelin's website to find a nearby dealer - it told me there were none. When I phoned Michelin, a nice young man gave me all sorts of local options where my tires will be replaced for free, plus registered me as an owner of the recalled tires. I asked if there's a time "window" to get this done, and he said they would *like* it done ASAP, but understand that many RV are buried is snow right now....LOL! I'll probably do it in the spring when the roads are less salty. The "C" isn't going anywhere anyway.

Terrific customer service - and I get a new set of tires. Happy Michelin customer here!

Took the rig to Discount Tire today and came home with 6 new MS2 replaced for free under warranty. My spare is a Firestone so all good there. Glad this is done and the new shoes should give me many years of service.

The recall is on DOT sequence B3JH AKEX, date code 0210 โ€“ 2512.
Your DOT Sequence doesn't match, so your tires are not part of the recall.

Had 6 tires replaced last spring. Called my local Allen tire store, they already had my paperwork out and had ordered the tires. Had tires replaced yesterday. Now must try to figure out why my starting battery died with Trik-L-Start.

Spoke to Discount Tire on Tuesday about the Michelins, he ordered them, and today(Thursday)they replaced all 6 with the M/S2 tires. No cost to me, at all. A short drive up the highway to make sure they were all balanced OK, and they really don't feel any different than the old ones......except for the newness from the fresh tread.

Hey Ponderosa,

How far off the ground are you when you click your heals?
Congrats on finally beating the big guys at there own game!

I'm looking forward to a new set of Michelons on my rig also.
This will be my third set on My 2007 BT Cruiser.
I'm waiting for the snow to melt and to get some with 2014 on them.
Ain't this a country?

P.S. - I see you have not been to Indiana. Check out Indiana Dunes State Park on the Southeastern shore of Lake Michigan. Nice park with a train next door that goes into Chicago.
I know, LOL. I feel like I won the lottery. We're look at getting further to the east this year. Thanks for the tip on where to visit.
